Could this possibly be the place where they store the kayaks? There is a nature expedition (or something like that) excursion and from the description I read once, they walked a path behind the adult beach until they got to the spot where the kayaks were. This looks like it fits that description.

That could very well be where it is. It is close to the inner marsh area, so that would make sense.

As we've looked at this, I'm betting that the crew beach will be between SB and the new teen beach, just to keep some separation and allow for the teens to use the family food facilities, etc. It wouldn't be kosher to have them using the bar bathrooms at SB.

Hmmm all this time I thought they already had a teen beach - at least that's what the DVD and other media had implied. My teen DD has been looking forward to it.

But that would still be a really long way away from the family beach. I can't see that they would make the teens walk all the way back to the family beach for bathrooms!

As indicated on the Castaway Cay map that was posted (it's an old one) there did used to be a Teen Beach. But the new cabanas took over that area. So now there's a Teen Area.

great idea just not around serenity bay.put all the moody.sullen,video playing and texting teens somewhere by them selves.
one problem their not going to wake up till the ship is loading back up.
can you tell i have teen agers.

Disney could promote the teen beach and make a movie called "Teen Beach".. oh never mind they already made that movie...lol

I wonder if it could be a teen quiet area where teens that want to sit out and sunbathe or read a book or quietly enjoy the beach could go with out volleyball games, sand flying, little kids running around kicking up sand. I know when I was a teen I didn't care for much noise and cliques and would have loved a quiet place to go. But then I was an odd child.

Unless they put bathrooms between the teen beach and the new cabanas, which would be wise given how far the new cabanas are from the facilities as it is. They do *not* need to be in the Serenity Bay bathrooms, given that those bathrooms are in the same building as the bar, nor do they need to be in the Serenity Bay dining area, given that the whole point of Serenity Bay is to not have to listen to kids. It's bad enough that I've heard entire families yelling back and forth to each other while riding bicycles in the area behind the cabanas.

I can also just see them meeting an older brother or sister for drinks in the bathrooms. I know I would have, given the opportunity. Not that I ever gave my little sister or brother drinks before they were of age...

Disney will use the same promo stuff for years. I'm pretty sure the disc you got is old, not brand new. It's just brand new to you. They closed the Teen Beach in the past year with the building of the new cabanas. I'm not sure when they updated their materials, but the last time I got a disc it was pretty ancient at that time.
