Change to dining plan? Anyone know?

I'm interested to find out the official answer. I would love to have apps included, as I prefer them to dessert.
 
I also noticed you get an appetizer with room service for 2 credits. It just seems very inconsistent to offer an appetizer only some of the time. People get confused so easily regarding the plans already. Offering appetizers some of the time seems like a nightmare to explain to guests.

A brochure dated over a month ago but no one reporting that change until now (and no change in actual application at restaurants), inconsistent application, no changes anywhere else on the disney site, and no official announcement makes me skeptical. If it truly has changed, that's great for those who use it. I ran the numbers for my family and even with appetizers we still will be better off with TiW so ultimately it makes no difference for us.
 

Well, I called and spoke to an agent. Unfortunately she said it was a mistake and "they are working to fix it on the website". Booooooo!
 
This is so frustrating. Some say CM's confirm others say it's a mistake. I wish WDW would tell everyone the same info, now that would be a novelty ;)
 
I'm just gonna go raise cane and get me a free shrimp cocktail out of this deal!
 
Ugh!! That is bad. My sister and I were discussing this yesterday and since my TIW ran out this was enough to push me over to dining plan instead. Without apps though it is not worth it...geesh, I wonder if they would honor going back to a room only reservation or will honor the apps. I would rather just go back to room only rather than have to present my case at every meal. Grr!! I guess I should have known it was too much to expect Disney to add something back into the meal plan. :sad2:
 
OK I personally just got off the phone with DD. This CM ARGUED with me that that is correct; you now get an appetizer with a TS meal. I asked if she could PLEASE make sure. She informed me that she didn't need to check it was correct. I then told her there are people NOW at Disney not receiving the appetizer and she told me that they probably weren't ordering it???? UGH!

PLEASE could someone else check or is there another # I should call to check. This may be the reason we upgrade from the free QS we are now receiving.

they will respond in writing to my e-mail. It could take up to 10 days, but they have always replied to questions in the past.
I think they are also more cautious with an email response than some CMs seem to be on the phone. If you can wait, that's what I'd do.

I hope you are right. I was hoping for it because we could use apps to help feed my son who is 2 but has a good appetite. We go a week from saturday so maybe someone will find out for sure by then.

This is why I say I don't trust WDW-DINE to give accurate information.
 
OK, called again! This time they put me on hold for 24 min. after I explained the situtaion (yes, I timed it). How vague is this...it's not in their internal information but yes they do see where it says so on their online brochure. This CM said "I wouldn't count on getting it."

So there you go..two calls within minutes of each other two totally different answers. So good luck to all of us finding out the truth :confused::confused:
 
The only way to find out is if this site or other sites start reporting that guests are actually receiving appetizers with all 1 credit TS meals on the regular dining.
 
Can anyone confirm that there will be a bed in my hotel room? It said there would on the room description but I guess that is subject to change.
