change ressie to use codes HELP!!

I currently have ressies at POR with the AP rate from 1/1-1/8. However i hear the regular codes are coming out and i still haven't bought my ap pass yet so i figured it would be worth it to change it to the regular code rate. The problem is, my stay begins on the 1st and the code is not valid until the 2nd. so, we were thinking about staying at the all star (77$/night)on the first and using the code at POR from the 2-8. Anyone done this before? I hope it won't be a problem. thanks

Another option is to make two separate reservations for POR. The first reservation is for 1/1 (for whatever rate you can get) and the second is for the rest of your stay at the code rate. You can ask CRO to cross reference the reservations so that the chances of having to change rooms will be small. You can also repeat that request at check in. IT may be worth paying a bit more for the first day to avoid having to change resorts.

I do not believe it will be a problem to modify your reservation as long as there is availability at POR at the code rate when you call. As far as I know, you will be able to "transfer" your deposit.
