I'm reading many posts that are not too complementarty of Raglan Road food. We currently have dinner ressys. Should we change them? If you had something you liked, what was it?

Don't know what you are reading. Most everything I have read is that Raglan Road is outstanding, and it is.

We have been there 5 times. We have tried almost everything on the menu and everything is fantastic. The service is excellent, bartenders great.

No Nay Never!!!!! I have been to RR a few times and have enjoyed all of my dinners there. Make sure you get there for a bit later like 9 pm to catch the band Tuskar Rock and if possible make sure you catch them on Monday or Tuesday night when a few special guests from some other bands in Disney join in around 11:30 or so when the band goes from more traditional Irish music ( Complete with a step dancer who is just amazing) to a more contemporary feel!!! Any questions, please ask!!! Belle

Here's my mixed review: I was there on Wed. I made my ADR for 6:00 and I think we would have enjoyed it more if we had a later ADR.
I had the Shepherds pie. It was good but nothing to write home about. My mom had the sirloin and she absolutely love it. My dh had the lamb and it was ok. We had chicken kabobs for an appetizer and my chicken was pink and the dip was nothing more than mayonaise.
Our waitress was horrible but we absolutely loved our bartender. I guess it's just luck but I think you should try it b/c you will always wonder if you should have eaten there.

The desserts are out of this world!

We had dinner at Raglan Road back in December. Gabby had been to Ireland earlier in the year, so I was looking forward to her impression of the restaurant and how much it would remind her of Ireland. Gabby and I both agree that the restaurant is beautiful and the bars are quite majestic. We had an ADR at 7:45pm, but it would have been unnecessary at the time that we arrived. But, by the time we left, the place was packed. So, early evening arrivals might be able to get away with no ADR, but if you come with the intention of staying for the entertainment at 9pm, you better book in advance. We were served the Irish Soda Bread with the Guinness and honey reduction for dipping. Gabby is not a big fan of soda bread to start with, but she thought that this was outstanding. Gabby is a really picky eater. I was very concerned about what she might find on the menu to eat. She settled on Planxty, which is the roasted pork shank. It is served on mashed potatoes and has an apple chutney that compliments the pork very well. Gabby, who is not usually a big fan of pork loved her meal! She said that it was one of the best pork dishes that she had ever eaten. I chose the Kevin's Kudos, which is the oven-roasted loin of bacon with an Irish mist glaze served with braised cabbage and creamed potato. OMG, it was everything that I had hoped that it would be and more. I wish that I could explain just how lovely that it was. Yes, I just used lovely to describe a food item, I must be slipping. Finally, we split a Dunbrody's Kiss for desert. While the chocolate was sweet and decadent, the use of an oatmeal spiced base was a little weird. The truffle and chocolate garnish aspects of the kiss were great, the oatmeal took away from what was an otherwise perfect desert item. The service was ok, but could have been a little more attentive. We missed the entertainment, but we had lots of things that we wanted to explore at DTD that night. We had gift certificates for $50 that we purchased at half price prior to our trip through a Clear Channel radio promotion. I knew that we would exceed that amount with our meal here. The meal and tip cost me only an additional $17 beyond what the gift certificate covered. Overall, it was a standout meal and we would love to go back again one day. Maggie

For an appetizer try the scallops, they are AWESOME!!!!!!! I Second the rave reviews for Kevin's Kudos, the loin of bacon was just great!!!! And as far as so -so service, ask for Keara or Lisa as your server. Neither one of these young ladies was lacking in the service area and I tink you will be well pleased with them. Belle

It's located actually right on Pleasure Island, where the Jazz Club was.

OP, I've never read a bad review of it so I am not sure who gave a bad review? We enjoyed our meal very much; I thought the prices were high but you can look at the menu ahead of time and know that going in so no surprises. The service was great, atmosphere is great, and the entertainment wonderful late at night! We're returning in Sept.

Well, I'm sure I'm one of the bad reviews you've read. We really didn't care for it. My husband had the beef stew and thought the meat kind of dry. I had the chicken pie, I think it's called "Pie in the Sky" and it was a flakey crust thing with about 3 or 4 little pieces of chicken inside. Really not worth my money at all. Perhaps some of the other dishes are better that were mentioned above. We were there when the entertainment started which was nice, but we didnt' really stay long. Maybe try it, but order some of the things mentioned that seem to be more popular.
