Change Parkhopper to more days?

My son will be getting a 2 day park hopper as part of a tour. We are going a day earlier and staying a day later than the tour. Do you know if it is possible to add days on to a parkhopper once we are there? Would that be better than trying to buy him extra single days? I think I have seen something like this asked before but couldn't find it in search!

If this is possible, how would we go about doing it?

Yes. Take the ticket to a ticket window, and they can add additional days.

The exception would be is if it’s a special promo ticket it may not be upgraded.

to add to the information above, you may not get full credit for a 2 day general addmission park hopper if there were any discounts offered for the tour.

if the ticket is eligible for upgrade you will need to pay the difference between what was actually paid for the 2 day tour ticket to a 4 day ticket.

We have chosen a 4 day park ticket without park-hopper as it was cheaper than 3 day park hopper ticket, and we get a magic morning one of the DL days, which is an added bonus. We usually stay on site at WDW over Christmas so not having EMH everyday will be a shock to the system!
