Yes, those King Cakes are yummy. They eat them on Fat Tuesday (Mardis Gras) in March, I think. Personally, I like them better than plum pudding, plus, you get a surprise in it! Is it usually a plastic baby or are there other items?
Hi ! Yes, I did....and hope you did too! The newlyweds joined us in Cape May and we also had my mom (91 years old as of Dec. 22nd). her brother, DSis (we spent about a half hour yesterday trying to find the Australian animals you posted one time) and 2 coast guard recruits who were able to go off base for the Christmas holiday. We had wonderful food and great company. How did you spend yours?
Today we just arrived home an hour ago, after an 11 hour car ride, much of which was through falling snow. We just HAD to get out of Cape May, they are expecting about a foot and a half of snow!
What was your weather like? Our two recruits had their first taste of a White Christmas yesterday. We had a slight snow shower there. One recruit was from TX and the other from California!
I guess I had a lot to say I've been away...and missed you all!
Sounds like you had a great Christmas with the family. Hope that you're not too cold. We're having a cool Christmas with weather in the mid to late 60's. Christmas was great and I have shots of the food....
The Aussie animals are on page 150 of this thread!
Do you use fahrenheit? Thank you...I looked too far back...and did searches. She and I were talking about having an Australian section in AK. She and I will be going to AKV for a special "sisters trip" in April. I booked AKV concierge as a special treat for us! I've sent her the link!!!!

PS. Will be saying g'night...am exhausted, and I wasn't even the driver!
We use Celcius. It's about 20 C. To convert, it's nearly double the celcius temperature (should be a 4/9 multiplier) and add 32. We had 26 C on Christmas day (low 80's).

I thought you wouldn't be using Fahrenheit, but it's kind of you to do the converting. I think it was in the 1970s that there was a push for the USA to convert over to metric, but it never built up enough momentum.
Glad everyone had happy holidays! My Christmas was a good one, with the exception of one thing I still haven't been blessed enough to receive over the past 2 years.
