Good morning! Yes, I'm home. For the past two mornings, iwas up and out for jury duty! That is over, and I'm getting ready to care for DS 2 dogs while they vacation. I hope our older dog, Emma, survives the visit by her "cousins!"

I start Jury Duty next month, Bobbi. My 3rd time but I love it! It does cut into some of my summer vacation time, tho!

Bedtime for me soon. I've only been called up once for Jury duty...for an embezzlement trial planned to go for 3 months! I couldn't get excused fast enough! Work would have gone up in flames...

We get paid very little here in Michigan. I've only sat on one case and they picked me fore person so I had to stand up and tell the verdict (which was guilty). It was quite interesting but luckily only lasted one day.

I should get a check for $40, and my parking fee was covered. I was originally called during the school year, but I was allowed to reschedule. I hope you enjoy your experience.

I am very thankful that my case was nothing like the murder case of the child in Florida. That's so sad on many levels.

I think the going rate for Jury duty here is also about $40.

The $40 is for 2 days, and the parking would have been $7 per day.

Well...it would seem that your jury duty pay is roughly in line with wage comparisons to Oz. We seem to get paid about 1.5 - 2 times what you get paid (and our price of retail is many times multiple!).

No one will get rich being a juror! Frankly, I also enjoy doing it, but understand that it's a burden for some, especially self-employed persons.
