Change of "season" question

If we check in on Sept. 30, during Adventure season, will we be "charged" points for Adventure season or choice season for that one night? I know all the other days during our trip will be Adventure season. In other words, does the season go by check in day or check out?
I realize it's only 2-3 points, but I was just curious about that one night. TIA

If you start out in Choice season for the first night and the remainder is in Adventure season, you'd pay one night Choice and the remainder Adventure.

DVC points are NOT handled in the same manner that cash ressies are handled. When one pays cash through CRO, the nightly rate for the entire trip is based on the established rate on the night of check-in. Even if seasons change and rates increase, that first night's rate is billed for the entire stay.

Not so with DVC. You pay whatever the posted point values are for each night's stay.

Even if the other people didn't understand your question, I think I do: the points go by the night that you stay (i.e., check in night). The easiest way to think about this is when the points move the other way than in your example. When you stay New Year's Eve, you get charged for the points based on December 31, rather than the much lower point schedule that begins on January 1 which would be your check out day.

September 30 is adventure season. Oct 1 to 31 is choice season. So if you check-in on September 30, that night will be adventure season, the following nights will be choice season.

Ok, your stay crosses two seasons. The points for season one is 20 points per night. Season two is 30 points per night. Your stay is check-in sunday and checkout Thursday. Four nights. Sunday and monday you will be charged 20 points per night. Tuesday and wednesday night you will be charged 30 points per night. You are charged 100 points for the entire trip.

It IS different than cash reservations.
