Change in reservation fee?

I know some places (including Disney) may charge fees if you change a reservation. For my trip in November, I already changed resorts from POR to POFQ. Now it turns out that I'm going to have to add one-to-three days. Part of my family is also going to WDW around the same time I'm going, so we want more time to meet up on the front end and there is a show at the HoB I may stay to see now on what would have been the day after I was scheduled to leave.

Will Disney charge a fee to extend my vacation?

Also, should we deside to resort hop, will rooms be cheaper in the other hotels because we already have a reservation somewhere?

We have never been charged a fee for changing our reservation with disney. If you booked with a TA, however, they may charge you fees according to their own rules.

No, you don't get a break on other resorts because you already have a reservation at one resort.

For all the trouble CM's go through for guests who can't make up their minds, or skip around changing dining plans, Disney ought to charge a big fee to stop this action. Plan before hand, make your decisions and call reservations once.

No Disney will not charge you a fee to extend your vacation. They will charge you if you cancel within 6 days of arrival. (I think it's 6 days) I also think packages are treated differently that room only too.
Disney shouldn't charge anything for extending or even cancelling as their policy, but for people who keep changing resorts is just crazy. :crazy2: I can see MAYBE changing once, but more than that should be charged a fee.

I actually had to just call and change my reservation because my children's school just changed spring break to the end of March instead of keeping it the week before easter. So I was able to change it and add an additional day with no problem. In fact they were very understanding of my dilemma. My sister and I have our rooms looped and she was able to do the same thing. Our reservations are "Room Only." They charged me no additional fee. :mickeybar

Disney is wonderful about changes...as long as your stay gets more expensive (i.e. you add and not subtract) there is never a fee, and even if you do reduce the stay there is only a fee on rooms booked with the new passholder best-rate program.

Call CRO soon, though - you don't want to miss out on availability.

Good luck!
