Ok, not a new change but when MS began, it was so intense that it had a 60% Vomit rate. This according to a guy I work with, who lived in FL and has many friends/family that work at WDW....

It was then scaled back to what it is now....

Just a tidbit of information..

So what's the "vomit rate" now?

What do you mean you didn't ask. Oh man, now my day is shot. I am going to have to go out and have a few beers now. thanks a lot

We there right when it opened. It actually opened before the advertised launch which was when we were there and anyone at the park could ride it. I think out of the many times we got on we had to wait for it to be cleaned once. We got to ride it a ton b/c people didn't realize that they were letting you on. I really hope this isn't true b/c it was awsome.

My husband did the Backstage Magic tour and was told that it is over 100 people a day IN the ride. :earseek: :scared: :crazy2:

He was also told what maxaroni posted.

maxaroni,

Thanks for the info, but c'mon: if you're going to post old puke rates, don't leave us hanging with out the latest.and.greatest puke rates. :crazy2:

just rode MS, didn't vomit but I (and poor SIL) was this close--ugh--loved the concept of the ride, just wished I chickened out.

60%? I would take that statistic with a grain of salt...and a couple of spoons full of Pepto :)

Well here's what I heard last week...
A bus driver was talking to some visitors and he said that when they opened MS to cast members, most all of them were getting off sick. It was caused by a couple frames in the film being out of sync with the action. This problem was fixed. Sounds logicial.
:confused3
And then I heard...
This from a CM mom (overheard). She said that MS used to go to Mars and back. She also said it used to go upside down. Anyone heard about this? Doesn't sound right to me. :sad2:

I am glad that you are confirming this--I have posted in the past that it has been toned down since the soft openings and let's just say---other DISers did not agree---I will play nice today :rotfl:

I've never even come close to puking on it. But liftoff does seem to clear my sinuses IMMEDIATELY. :earboy2:

I have never gotten sick on a ride or even felt sick on a ride until Misson Space. I didn't get sick but definitely felt it. I heard they had to change the ride in the beginning too!

I think the puke bags are a nice touch. They add to the magic :rotfl:

I'm glad to hear that. We went before it was officially open and if it were the same I would not get it on again; but if you think they have toned it down I will give it another shot. I didn't spew anything but it wasn't exactly enjoyable

I felt so sick when I got off that ride. I purposely didn't eat breakfast that morning because I heard that people have puked on the ride. I guess I should be happy I had an empty stomach!
I decided afterwards that I should probably find something to eat and I would feel better. I felt really "off" for about an hour or two after riding MS.
I'm glad they have toned it down since. :)

DW and I rode this in December. This was our first time to ride this. We did this first thing in the am after finding our leave the legacy tile we did in April. All I can say is the lift off is amazing. I couldn't move my arms or legs. After the ride I was all  and wanted to do the expieremt with the guy on mars on the computer and the post card you can send. Well litterly DW had to sit down for 2 hours. Needless to say I rode Test Track. Funny every time I rode test track that day it got stuck.

I got prewarned about the ride on the BB and didn't eat breakfast as well. When they started the centrifuse I felt the spin if I had any food on my stomach it would of gone in space :rotfl: I guess I was a week before the barf bags, after I came home I heard that they were giving them out. I was glad it was a short trip to Mars.

I heard all kinds of stuff about the ride and how you shouldn't eat before or after the ride. When am I supposed to eat? :confused3

I've never had any problems on the ride personally. Just do what they say..look straight ahead and don't close your eyes. :faint:
