Change in ADR

I know this has been discussed before but I keep finding different answers. If I needed to change the number of people for my ADR from 6 to 7, can I just change the ADR or does it have to be cancelled and re-booked for 7? I realize going from 6 to 7 would be a different table size so that is why I am thinking I would need to cancel and then re-book. Thoughts?

I just had to do this but I was going from 14 to 16 I just called some of the places I could change others I could not. Cm I talked to told me just to go and see if they could accomidate us. I'm not so sure I want to take that chance. I will keep calling I guess!

I was just talking to DD about this. She's a hostess at a very busy restaurant. Unless things at Disney are different the answer to your question would be maybe. Her restaurant has 2 top, 4 top and 6 top tables. If someone made a ressie for 6 they would be assigned a 6 top table, If they wanted to add a person on arrival they would then need a set-up of two four tops (pushed together). If you're a party of 1, 3, or 5 you'd be able to add a person and still fit at your "assigned" table. If that's how WDW works there is a chance that two 4 top tables might not be available at your particular ADR time. Of course there's also a chance that they will.

Hope this helps.

Jennifer
