Yes we did it on our last cruise. Now if you have a special rate the rules may be different but for a “normal” rate we just had to pay the difference in cost. Our TA just made it happen and I’m really glad we did, we loved our new location for that cruise.

Just be aware DCL changed it and now you pay the difference between the price you paid and the current rate in the new category, not the rate it was when you booked like we used to pay. Which is frustrating.
