Chances this December?

After talking with DH we came to the conclusion that we might be able to swing a short trip to the world this December. We have never been at Christmas time and I really did not think we were going to attempt this trip until 2006 due to points cost. What do you think our chances might be for reserving a 1 bedroom from the 19th thru the 22nd? Has anyone had success with a waitlist two months out? Thanks for the input.

I have heard that everything is full...but, there WILL be cancellations...the question is...just how long is the wait list? I know that people posted about a month ago getting a few nights here and there at VWL!! That surprised me. Now, I have heard people say that everything is booked until Jan.

If you want to go...get on the waitlist. You might also check the rent/trade boards. I have seen people who have ressies they cannot use looking to trade their ressie for other people's points who do not expire so soon.

Also, I have a friend who just got a good rate at POR for early Dec (she is a DVC'er who could not get a ressie anywhere via DVC). I don't know if there would be any good rates for Christmas week...but, it is also worth a shot!!

Get on the wait list!! Last year we called in October and got a room from Dec18th to Jan 2nd! You never know when the pixie dust flies!

At the first of the month I changed my BCV studio to a 1 bedroom. There was a availability at SSR and OKW. i will be there from the 19 through Christmas Day. I say call member services quick!

We were waitlisted for Dec and it cleared already so there is a good chance you might get it - call and ask!
