Chances of room only easter week discounts?

Anyone think they will offer any room only discounts this week? probably not huh?

I'm keeping my eyes out too, and hoping for the best. I did see a post in the March 2013 board that in 2009 &/or 2010 there were some discounts offered for Easter week. We're arriving on Easter morning, fingers crossed.

I also just posted on a few threads about this, but we were just in disney during Easter 2012 and I believe due to discount blackouts, the crowds and resorts were way less than normal. We were upgraded at both of our resorts, WL and BC, and the CM's commented their bookings were very low. Several park CM's said the same thing about the parks. The only park we consistently saw large crowds was at MK right around 1:00ish or so. Therefore, we went to MK in the mornings and got on all rides that we wanted without any real waits.

I think you are going at a great time. In fact, if I'm remembering correctly, this Easter 2012, AP discounts started right around your time frame. So it must be that is the predicted "slow down" time.

We were there the week leading up to Easter through 2 days after Easter. We were very pleased with the crowd levels -- maybe because we were expecting it to be much worse -- in any event, we didn't have to wait around for long periods of time at the parks and we were pleased with our resort room upgrades too.

Did anyone take advantage of the discount that came out today? We are going with my family from 3/31-4/3. Mom is going to split the stay to hopefully get a discount for 4/2-4/3. DH and I extended our trip for 2 nights at CSR for 4/3-4/5. I saved 25% on the nose on room only. We may add another night as well.
