Chances of onsite discounts for Oct?

We are going Oct 14-20 and have been patiently waiting for some sort of onsite discount and am starting to worry that there won't be any. Does anyone know of any this year?

Same here, I haven't seen anything. I got the weirdest flyer the other day in the mail. Looked like a pin offer, exactly like one, but was not one (didn't have an actual pin on it). Never had that happen before...

The offer says prices from $250 for PPH, $325 for DLH and $395 for GCH. All of those rates are pretty high and actually once I called, they were higher than the AP rates I already booked for 10/19-10/23, which were already pretty sad. The date range was 10/14-10/18, 10/21-10/25 and 10/28-10/31. When I called, she had no idea what it the flyer was or how to apply the discounts. I am pretty sure they are the same exact prices you would get if you did a quote online without an AP.

Basically, lame. And further makes me think they will not have any deep discounts. However, when I called WDTC earlier to check on prices for a suite for our Oct DLH stay, she said if there were going to be fall discounts, they would be out by the end of this month...so I'll stay hopeful...

I got the same offer! I got all excited when I opened it because I am also WAITING for a pin code. This is the first year in a long time that I haven't received one. :confused3

Holding out hope!!

Haha, I got TWO of those mailers! Both this week, both addressed to me, both with the same graphics, but the wording was totally different in each one. Disney marketing never ceases to baffle me. :lmao:

They are not discounted rates at all. The rates listed are the standard view room weekday rates that have been available all along. I got all excited for nothing, too!

I am waiting too, we took advantage of the Gay Day rates and they wouldn't extend that offer for an extr two days, fair enough but I thought it was worth asking for!

If we cannot get a cheaper price than $940+ tax for the two nights we will go to the beach or somewhere else.

We will have had 6 nights at GCH, 2 more would be nice but not necessary for this trip.

Waiting on a pin code here, too. Trying REALLY hard to be patient...

I hate to be all doom and gloom here, but I don't know they're going to do them for October this year. In previous years, we would have received them by now. Maybe Cars Land was enough to get them booked, especially with the expectation of Disney extending the Early Entry thing they have going.

yeah ive been saying all summer long that Im pretty positive they arent going to offer the same types of discounts we usually get offered because they arent needing to fill up rooms with CL and reopening of DCA...:worried:

Why would we get them for late August and September but not for October? Is it that the Halloween season boosts the popularity enough for October but September they need to add incentives for?

According to the mousesavers website, the discounts for October came out September 14th in 2011. So there is still hope.
