Chances of getting waitlist after 30 day mark?

So I would assume the chances of getting my waitlist after the 30 day mark are slim to none? What do you all think? What has been your experinces?

FYI.... Its for a 2 bedroom at BCV if that makes a difference.

Depends when you want the reservation. President's Week - doubt it. Easter - doubt it. Etc.

I had waitlisted 2 days at BCV for a dedacated 2 Queen Or 5 days for any 2 bedroom. I called 30 days out, 7 days out, 1 day out, and it hadnt come thru..... We arrived and when we checked in, we we had gotten the extra two days in the dedacated 2 queen!!! This was during MNSSHP , mid October

The chances are not as good as they were at the 30-31 day mark, but IMHO, they aren't zero - unless you are trying for President's week and even then, you never know.

If you want to remain on the waitlist for up to 31 days before check-in date be sure to call MS to request to stay on the list.

I did call to stay on the list. Thanks for the suggestion. This is March 12th - 17th

I'm also keeping my fingers crossed. We have friends traveling down there March 13th thru 18th. Every where is booked solid. But we are taking the wait list route. If it doesn't come through, oh well. We are still going in Novemeber. The kicker now is that I just got a ding from Southwest for a $64 flight to Orlando.....no room - no plane tickets.

Don't give up hope. A few years back we wait listed for VWL in early Dec, I had BCV booked as my backup plan. I requested to just switch the 6 nights if all nights opened rather than to call me. I called MS 1 week before our trip to get off the wait list assuming we would just stay at BCV, to my suprise they had a unit at VWL and had just sent the letter confirming this. Glad I called, because we were leaving to meet and stay with friends in Florida 2 days later and would have missed the letter. So YES you can have the wait list work in the last 30 days.

So if you are on a wait list with auto switch, CALL BEFORE you leave to make sure you go to the correct resort.

Also a reminder if you are wait listing for a resort that has lower points, like OKW vs. BCV the points you "save" will go into holding if past the 31 day mark. I think that is why they typically cancel the wait list at 30 days.

You sure it isn't the other way around? Or are you booked in a SSR GV? BCV should be more than SSR - two bedrooom villa at each. One week at SSR in a two bedroom is 316 points. The two bedroom at BCV is 350 points.

In the middle of the night last night when I woke up for some odd reason this was on my mind and I started thinking "wait a minute, it is the other way around, BCV is higher points so I will be just fine". I was going to post that when I woke, but you beat me to it. Thank you though!

Haha...it is who you think it is! And yes I love the new Fusion! I am still at the store...for the moment...I may be getting an opportunity to work somewhere else for more $, so we will see how the interview goes. Hope you are doing good! I miss working with you and having all our Disney chats! I am leaving tomorrow for 6 days at the Yacht Club...concierge of course...haha I can't wait. It will be me and 4 friends!
