I just cannot afford to make another trip to WDW during Spring Break but would like to do something. I though going to HHI would be nice. What are the chances of getting a studio or inn room the week before Easter?

I don't know. I'll be trying to get my DS and his family in that week, too! We have them set for VB, but HHI would be less of a drive for them. I'm looking for a 2 bedroom for them.

Oh, Oh- and me! And I want one of the very few studios.

I got HHI about 90 days out for this past spring break mid March no problem. Resort was not even half full. And if pts reservation are none, they might have great rates on cash revs. I needed one more night and did not have enough pts. However got a 2 bedroom for just $179 a night.

There are 21 Studios at the resort (and 21 1BRs). 2BRs are always the easiest to get at 7 months - the others, not-so-much.

If you can swing a 2BR, I'd plan on that and then be pleasantly surprised if a Studio is available at 7 months.

Good luck! :)

Easter is later next year than it was this year, so I suppose that's the draw. I hope there's room for all of us!

As mentioned there are more dedicated 2BR units at HHI than any other size. There are 21 lock-off units that can be split into 1BR and studio units. You should have a good chance of booking a 2BR, studios and 1BR units would be more difficult. We have 1 studio booked for part of that week (Apr. 17 -21) but hopefully you will have luck at the 7 month mark.

Our Spring Break is the first week of April. I'll be calling in 7 days to try and snag a 1BR:wizard:. We're going for 5 nights so if I can get Su-Th in the 1BR, FANTASTIC! If not, I already have a 2BR booked for Saturday (on cash) and we will do Su-Wed in a 2BR. I am working on the assumption that *something* will be available the first week of April. If not, we're probably going to end up in WDW in June....bummer:rotfl:.

What do you think the weather will be like the first week of April? Our spring break next year is that week and we are still trying to decide what to do. We did spring break at WDW last year so are thinking of doing something different.

April is a great time to be at HH. Temps will be in the mid 70's - low 80's and even the ocean temps will be up around 70 then. (We were there in early April this year and the surf temperature was already above 75.)

The resort activities are in full swing too.

Enjoy! :)

What about Mid-March? Here in Ontario, our Spring Break is always during St. Patrick's Day week.

We really want to go to HHI, and this would be our 1st time. I've already put it into my Signature! Hubby was going to call today, but he's stuck in a meeting, and I'm busy with the kids, and can't get a chance to call.

The points are very reasonable, so based on that, it seems like that time of year isn't very busy. It's only 10 points/night for a Studio in March.

Thanks, Tiger :)

Mid-march is also nice - temps will likely be in the mid 60s-low 70s. The ocean will still be too cool for my tastes - but in the upper 60's. Resort activities are ramped up at this time too. Most of the activities run year-round - but some are more enjoyable when the air temps are more comfy than in Jan -early Feb.

Even with (and to some extent - due to) to lower point costs, the resort is still pretty busy with a lot of families. December, January and early February are slower than most other times of the year. The fall will still have good occupancy, but with fewer school aged children.

Enjoy! :)

Thanks for this info! Hubby called today, and there is availability, but hubby is in a new office, so he is the only senior manager at this time. Should know soon about vacation time, and then we can book it!

Tiger :)

Studios, One bedrooms and two bedrooms were all available when I called at my 7 month window a few weeks ago. Good luck!

Thanks for the encouragement! It may not be indicative of the weeks around Easter, but I'm still encouraged. But then, I'm always hopeful about getting to go to HHI.
