Chances of an MK view at the CR

What are the chances of getting a MK view from a tower room at the CR for a late Sunday evening check in (March 6)?

I am debating about whether to check in late Sunday or wait until Monday morning (by staying off site that night and saving some bucks). I hate paying for a full day at peak season rack rates when I won't arrive until nealy 8 PM, but the awe I imagine my SO will experience when she sees that night view upon arrival after a long trip will be worth it. But, if they are out of rooms with a MK view, then I will feel like I totally blew it and won't have any MK view.

I do have a confirmed tower room, but of course, there is no guarantee on which side you will get. If I try for a nighttime check in and get a bay view, how is the view at night? Should I take my chances or wait until Monday morning to check in?

We have the same dilema with our stay this December. We have a tower room reserved, and we REALLY want an MK view. But our flight comes in late at night on a Saturday. So we are going to stay in a hotel near the airport, and then check in to the CR first thing in the morning.

I would think your chances would be better if you checked in the next morning. But I may be wrong. I really have no idea how they assign rooms.

Did you request an MK view when you made the ressie? If not, call back and see if you can add it. Also, request it when you are checking in. I love the MK view, too, but I'm sure she will just be happy to be there, you know? And, even if you arrive at 8 pm and don't get an MK view, you can take a walk to the 4th floor observation deck and enjoy the view from there, or take the monorail and walk around World Show Case and catch Illuminations.
