Chances of a waitlist coming through for VGC?

I’ve never tried to use points before for DGC. I’m waitlisted for a November trip. Not thanksgiving week. Any thoughts on the odds of it coming through? I’m concerned my points I banked are going to expire. I tried to look for 2 nights in January at any of the Florida resorts 1/13-1/14 and can’t find anything for both days either. Is it that busy or are they still limiting capacity?

The Florida resorts have never limited capacity. Nor has VGC, honestly - if there are limits on that property they're in the hotel, not the villas.

I have had 1-2 night waitlists at VGC come through before. I think this year will be harder than most years for VGC. The resort was closed almost 14 months so there is a lot of pent up demand (and a lot of unused banked VGC points) by the actual VGC owners who can book at the 11 month mark. It is hard to get on a good day, but definitely tougher right now. Most VGC owners only use their VGC points at VGC as they are very valuable (I know my VGC points are for VGC only).

Thank you for the info. Thinking maybe I should call and see if there is availability with the collection hotels instead.
