I have enough AKV points to book 1 night in a GV, and I could transfer in a few points to book a second night. After that, I have to rely on the 7 month booking window.
My question is if anyone has tried to book AKV/GVs at 7 months for mid December on to Christmas. We don't really need a GV since there are only 4 of traveling, but we wanted the adult offspring to each have their own room.
My inclination is to book 2 nights in the AKV GV at the beginning of the trip, and book the rest of the week in a GV at OKW. Then at 7 months, if the GV at AKV isn't available, I can try to switch all to a 2 bedroom at AKV. The goal is to at least spend a few nights at AKV for our adult DS who has never stayed there. He loves zoos and animals, and would really enjoy AKV. He's stayed in OKW GVs many times, so no intrigue there.
So....Anyone successful booking GV's at AKV at Holiday 7 month window?
PS, Our trip is from the 15 through the 23, so not there on the holiday itself.
