Chances for a waitlisted GV in October?

What do you think my chances are on the wait list for an OKW GV on October 8, 11, 12?

I've got the 7th, 9th, 10th and 13th booked. I realize it's F&W time. I would never move in and out of a GV twice. If I don't get it I'll probably get a 2Br and a 1BR.

I was able to add a night at an OKW GV just a few months out (also during F&W)...my back up plan was similar to yours except that I do not love 1 bedrooms. I would rather have a 2 BR and a STUDIO to get more real beds than i would get with a 2 BR and a 1BR...also fewer points used!

I'll definitely consider your idea about the 2BR-studio back up plan.

This far in advance, I think your chances are very good. I hope you are on the automatic waitlist, so they don't need to contact you when a day is added.

I would still call every few weeks, just to check the status of your reservation, but this is a good example where the waitlist is likely to work very well- since you only need a few in-between dates and are on the list months in advance.

I agree with Doc, I think you have a good chance of success. Make sure they are listed individually so if only one day comes up, you will get it. And have them do autoconfirm. Remember that at thirty days, the wait lists is wiped out and restarted. But you should come up with a backup plan just in case. I'd go ahead and reserve additional units for the time you will be there concentrating on the days you do not have for the GV. Good luck.

That's encouraging. If anyone knows, you should, Doc. I have no experience with GV reservations, but I know they're hard to get. .

I will call this week to make sure the dates are wait listed individually. That's a good suggestion.

I check the DVC site every day to see if any of the days have cleared. That's been one of the more useful new features.
