Chances at 7 mos out for Aulani and VGC

We have been members for 10 yrs and well aware that we may or may not get the ressies for a 1 bed at either resort. But being on the east coast, we sure would like some reassurance on Christmas Day that we can land these at 7 mos. out. Whats our chances for Feb 2013? We are juggling all points for this trip, saving $$ for air and gen. trip expenses. Never been out west.

I got a VGC studio for the first week of May this year at 7 months.

I got 2br at both places for July. I got a dedicated unit at VGV but could only get a lock off at Aulani. I'm wait listed for the dedicated unit.

We got a studio for 8 nights the week after July 4th at 7 months. We even forgot to call at the first possible moment for the first 7 nights - I remembered after MS closed that we needed to book! My husband called the next morning and had no problems getting a studio for all 8 nights in July.

I'm hoping late June or Early August isn't horrible to book for Aulani as we're hoping to book that at 7 months for 2013. Fingers crossed - we'll need 2 2-bdrms for a week for the extended family trip, and a week before or after for just us in a studio!

I got one for April, booked last month so, 5 months out. Booked studio then called back to change to 1 bedroom.

Calling tomorrow myself to get a 2Bdrm at Aulani for a Saturday to Saturday stay beginning 7-28. Our first choice is partial OV. We will have to use 1.5 years worth of points for this. This will be our second week in Hawaii -- we are staying on Kauai for the first week, renting a 3 bedroom condo through HomeAway.

Now what time does MS open? Double checking and setting an alarm on my phone.

WooHoo! Got our OV dedicated 2 bedroom for July 28th to August 4th! After reading reviews about light pollution did not want Island view, and decided that the point difference for pool view to ocean view was not enough considering how far we were traveling to not go for OV. Kids are thrilled (and so is my husband). DS17 is thrilled because his #1 request for our Hawaii vacation is to visit the sites where Lost was filmed, well we can do that for him.

I called today for a one bedroom, any view for August 1-8 and could not get any of them for 7nights. I had to book a pool view studio. I wait listed for a pool view 1 bedroom. I booked airfare in October so my dates are not flexible. I have my fingers crossed my wait list will come through. Otherwise, we will make the studio work! I just need a place to sleep!
