Chairs in balcony at HDDR

We have 7 of us going to HDDR in June. We are planning to book Cat 3 due to our group dynamics (toddler who may need to leave, 14 yr old with autism who may need to leave, and my dad who doesn't like being boxed in by crowds). I've sat up there before with a group and it worked really well. However, my dad is a big and tall guy (6'7", 300 lbs), and I can't remember if the tables can be pushed out a little and if the chairs are anchored or can shift around. Anyone know? Thanks!

one thing to think about is the stairs bring you down in the middle of main floor if having to remove either child during the show

The chairs actually swivel around, I do remember that. That's why I wasn't sure if they are anchored because they can swivel.
They look like they have four metal legs, so even if they swivel I don't think their fixed. Disclosure: never been to HDDR, just analyzing pictures :)

i think the seats are on a swivel, but they're otherwise regular chairs. Out of several hundred images, these http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HVyL1NIKQ...B9B0sI/s1600/Disney+Hoop+Dee+Doo+Revue042.jpg https://danhauk.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/img_4401.jpgare what I'm using to guess.

Really, more people need to post more pictures of the balcony tables and chairs :)

I can vouch that they are movable, very much so. I am your dad's size, almost exactly. The chairs move and the floor is slippery wood. We were on the first floor. When we were getting ready to leave, the chair scooted out from under me and I was on the floor. :rolleyes1 And it a great, fun show, good food. Enjoy.

So Betty Rohrer - you think maybe Tier 2 would be better? Still the middle, but at the back?
if you are looking to have to remove a child during the show I would want to be at the back not in the middle of the room. I have had to remove a child just not at HDDR but with the stairs being in the middle of the room downstairs with tables all around I wouldn't want to try to do that

The stairs are in the back. You walk through the main doors and there are two sets of stairs, one going to the left and one to the right. They aren't in the middle of the first floor.
