Chain vs. Non-Chain

I prefer local places when I'm familiar with a particular area and chains when we're travelling. They're easy to get to from the expressway and you pretty much know what you'll get.

I have an aunt that always insists on non-chain restaurants when travelling and it drives me insane because it takes forever to find something that meets her exacting criteria and half the time it's terrible. Let's just get lunch and get back on the road.
