I'm at my new school as I type this.
There is wireless internet so i can go on my mac :)

So anyways, if you're thinking, why is this girl telling me this?!?!
THe answer is...because today was my very first day of my brand new life as a university student!!

Today was extremely scary, twice as scary as the first day of high school, but for some reason, i only felt half as nervous.
I havent made too many friends yet, it's pretty difficult to be honest. But you don't look like such a loser if you're sitting by yourself, because you're not the only one...

My classes are pretty intense, a drama performance per week, a french professor who is straight off the boat from france and barely speaks a word of english (and expects us to do the same!) lectures halls with 200 + people.
YIKES!!!

Anyways...my point is...it's different, a HUGE change.

So what's a big change that's happened in your life recently?
Have you recently gone from middle school to high school? or something to that effect.
How do you cope with change?
Discuss.

I'm in high school now, and it's not too much of a change.
But I miss all the kids I hung out with, I don't like having classes alone, and I'm not crazy over the exemption policy.

I haven't had a huge change in my life Caitlyn. I just wanted to encourage you to keep being strong as you start you new College University life. I will be there next year and I am already getting nervous about it. Something about being the big student on campus in Highschool right now and then being the little one again in college scares the Hell out of me. Keep me up to date on how it goes.

Kat :hippie:

Aw.
Good Luck with University!:goodvibes

I started H.S 4 weeks ago and it has defintely been a BIG change.
I have more classes,I have gym,My classes are farther apart.

I have been coping well with the change but every so often I wish I was back in Middle School again.
But overall it's okay.:thumbsup2

There are loads of changes happening to me a school at the moment. Firstly I hate my French set, I would have chosen drama if I didn't get persauded into taking french. I hate most of my other lessons at school at the moment. And the lessons I'm taking are for major exams.

To be honest I'm not coping very well with it at the moment. I feel thet I just want to scream, or go sit in a corner crying. I can usually cope with change really well, but I never like change. I think one of the reasons I'm not coping very well with it, is because my friends aren't helping me.

Sorry I just had to vent.

I started Highschool.
I wasn't too scared, except I was afraid of getting lost.
I love it.
Way much better than jr. high.
Less drama, and I like block schedule.
The work I can get done in class now, since we only have 4 a day.

i started high school a week ago.
i like it and i don't.

sometimes i wanna be homeschooled.
sometimes i just feel like giving up.

hopefully it will become better.

my major change was this year going from elementry to secondary
6th to 7th
good luck at the university :thumbsup2

ok, sorry if this sounds stupid, but is university the same thing as college or just something in Canada?

sometimes i wanna be homeschooled
ummmmm.....trust me no u dont unless you go to a school that totally creeps you out! I'm in 9th grade now, but was homeschooled from K-8th grade and trust me its not as great as everyone thinks! I now go to a christian academy where I know everyone and absolutely love it here.

I'm pretty sure you guys have Universities in America.
University it sort of like, a mini-step up from college.
In college i believe you get a diploma, in University you get a degree (ie, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts etc)
They are a bit harder to get into and have pretty high standards (usully 80% is the minimum for entrance)
Not that they are better than college though, college you get more applied, hand-on type of knowledge, University is more, textbook type of stuff.

first two years of college are an associates degree, then you get a BS, then you get a Masters, then a doctorate.
"college" and "university" are the same thing, just different words.
Like, I'll be going to the UNIVERSITY of Tennessee for COLLEGE. its just different terminology.:)

Good luck with college/uni catilin!

Btw, are you and derek doing the strawberry thing we talked about?

So what's a big change that's happened in your life recently? I started high school last Thursday. I'm taking college level classes. The entire school is.
Have you recently gone from middle school to high school? Yep. Last week.
How do you cope with change? I hang on to what I think should be held on to. I let go of the extra baggage, and I embrace the fact that I'm starting new.
