Hi, I just bought the canon rebel xti. I am now looking for memory. i went to costco's website, and they have a Cube CF 60x 4G for $58 and I also looked at a Lexar 2G 133x for $90.....can someone tell me if that is a good price, and how much difference the writing speed makes? I mean does the name brand matter on the cards? Sorry if these questions sound stupid, but I'd appreciate anyone's advice.

I spent the extra $$$ on a sandisk ultra III. If you plan on shooting continously, you might want a faster CF card. I'm not sure about the speeds, I went on the advice of some photographer buddies of mine.

i have a rebel xt not xti but did a unscientific test of all my cards( 60 -133x) and in continuous the worst( which was a fast sd card in a conveter to use as a cf card i think it was the sandisk ultra but i am sure the converter had something to do with it) allowed me to take about 50 photos as fast as the continuous mode works before it had to slow down to write them( which took a second or 2) the best which was 60x ( I think a simple tech which is supposed to be a slow card as cards go )took 90+ before it had to slow down to write them... thinking i wouldn't normally take many more than that at one shot with out stopping....so imo i'd get 2 decent cards and not worry so much about hi hi speeds...the rebel xt however can't make use of the high speed as in the prospeed cards so you may want to check and see if the rebel xti can before you make your purchase
