Cervical Dystonia - Botox Injections

Has anyone had these injection to help relieve pain from cervical (neck) dystonia?

My Pain Management doctor is recommending these injections.

I've had a couple of cervical spine (neck) surgeries, and because of this (the pain mgmt doc thinks) I have cervical dystonia, which causes a lot of pain in the muscles in my upper back.

Looking to hear from anyone who has had these injections.

My mother (now deceased) had these injections 3-4 times a year for several years prior to her death. The injections really, really helped her. She also found a local dystonia support group. I wish I could offer more info other than it was expensive ( but her insurance covered it) and it was very much worth it in her opinion.

I've had Botox injection in my pelvic floor. They helped a lot. I know it's not the same area but the process should be similar.

My mom has cervical dystonia. Botox didn't help her, but it's helped others. I think it's worth a try.

My coworker had the shots for the same thing and they helped him immensely. Insurance wouldn't cover them though, so he stopped.
