Do you take your medicine at certain times, when there are no specific directions?
Sorry for such a confusing question. I am taking a high blood pressure medicine now, once a day. The directions on the bottle said take one pill once a day. I take it at night, simply because it said it might cause droziness. A friend of mine thought it was strange that I took my high blood pressure medicine at night.
If there is no specific directions, does it matter:confused3
When my dr prescribed it, all she said was it might cause swelling, and didnt say anything about time of day to take it.

Unless given a specific time of day, I just divide my once a day pills into morning and evening piles! Some things you are supposed to take in the evening - cholesterol medications are one that I've been told to take at night. And my Cymbalta. I don't think I've ever seen anything about blood pressure medications - I happen to take mine in the morning because I do take the cholesterol meds at night.

If you are unsure, you could ask your pharmacist - they are usually right up to date on things like the best time of day to take your meds.

Some blood pressure medication contains a diuretic, or is actually a diuretic in itself, (hydrochlorothiazide comes to mind) and so many people like to take them in the morning so that they aren't up all night running to the bathroom.

Unless my doctor says something, I would take it at night like you.

I have to take my thyroid meds in the morning, on an empty stomach - and it says that on the script. I take them as soon as I get to work in the morning, (which doesn't bode well on the weekends, but that's a whole other beast...).

DH keeps his meds bedside and takes them before crashing for the night.

Some meds I take are activating, some are sedating. Naturally, I take the activating meds in the morning and the sedating meds a few hours before bed.

I take my blood pressure/cholesterol meds in the evening per my Doctors suggestion. That's because they can cause hot flashes, and he felt it's better to have hot flashes when you are asleep than awake.
