Hi everybody
Like I said earlier I have many questions to ask before buying. I hope to have answers from you vets of dvc. Here are two.
1- When the text says that certain limitations apply to the base plan, what are those limitations? (that affraid me)
2-What are the response time from people from "time share store inc" I have e-mail them two days ago (on last sunday) and they did'nt answer yet? I think that if they want to sell me something they have to take care of me. (I am a seller too)

Limitations means if you buy the minimum 150 points you won't have enough points to reserve a 2 bedroom for a week during peak time. However you will have enough points for a studio. You are limited to what size accomadations and how long you can stay by the number of points you buy.

Keep in mind that you can always bank and borrow for larger accomadations and longer stays.

The limitations also apply to some outside exchanges. Some require a full weeks stay and more than the minimum amount of points.

Alexx, Do the toll free numbers work in Canada? We had a very good experience with Jaki Apetz at A Timeshare Broker Her telephone # is 888-345-2622 and her email is: japetz@ibm.net She was very responsive! Bonne Chance!

Timeshare co has been very professional with me. Try calling them. They have been very honest about there products.
Also I do not understand what are the benefits to DVC. There is no maid service, you get a room you have to fight for during peak times, and it takes at least 10 years to breakeven.
I may be wrong; I hope you'll explain.
Thank in advance,
Terry

One of the biggest benefits is that you are paying for your vacations for the next 40 years in today's dollars. Compare how much a night at a Disney Hotel cost 20 years ago. Don't you wish you could have locked in at those prices for the past twenty years and the next twenty as well? It's a very good deal when you look at it that way. :)

Take a good look at the point charts. My guide provided them to me. I think you will see you will be "limited" from enjoying non-dvc properties if you don't buy at least 210-220 points. I believe a look at this will show you 150 points won't be enough to get the required weeks stay at some of the Interval International places you have the option of trading to.

Like people say the limit is a function of trading out to other, non dvc, timeshares. Some require you trade a week for a week and with 150 points you may not be able to get a week at dvc to trade.

Alexx,
All information is correct about the limitations regarding exchanges except it is not as cut and dry. You most certainly can trade out with a 150 contract, you may just need to borrow from your next use year to do it. Nothing to worry about people do it all the time. Most of my trades have not been that much more anyway around 170- 180 points.
