I was thinking about making programs for our intimate wedding, and once I started giving it serious thought, I had no idea what to print on them!
I'm not having bridesmaids, I'm not having a flower girl/ring bearer, and I'm not having anyone else read.... so that leaves me with barely anything.

However, I'm going to have a very unusual ceremony/vow format.. so maybe I'll print that. Hmm... :goodvibes Yeaahhhhh.. thats it!

Wow - only 14 days to go :yay:

I thought about that too, I wanted programs, but it would have been very short. I like your idea of the vow format, that sounds good! I ended up printing everyone a sort of itinerary and also formal invites to the morning after brunch. I love designing things and making my own paper crafts (DH and I made the 75 wedding announcements that we mailed out) so I wanted to make more "stuff" but it was hard considering how small the wedding was ;)

Best Wishes!!

I love being crafty, too! I'm just trying to find cute projects to do to keep me busy!! I made wedding day itineraries in Photoshop, I just have to find the right paper to print them on; I made travel spreadsheets to tell people how to get from the hotel to the parks/other hotels, etc.; and I wrote a letter to the guests for their gift bags; and I made foamie door hangers for the guests' rooms. We even designed t-shirts and used iron-on paper to make the shirts (we're about 1/2 done!)

Thankfully we're having an intimate, I think I would have needed to hire employees if we had a custom!!

That sounds wonderful - how fun for you and your guests!! I know what you mean, I could never have handled it all for a bigger wedding. We had planned a big at home reception but my mom passed before our wedding, and it was completely innapropriate, no one was up for it, so we just had our Intimate and celebrated with close family and friends in Disney, and honestly it was the perfect wedding for DH and me. My best friend just got engaged over the weekend and she's planning something small too but she will still have a lot to do though, with vendors and such. That's one thing I loved about Disney, I put our Intimate together in less than 9 months - they are so great to work with and really take most of the worry away :thumbsup2

I can't wait to read all about your day . . .

I agree- an Intimate was the best choice for us, too. LOL we planned ours in 3 months!! Well worth it, though. :) I was talking to DF's cousin, and she's also planning a small wedding. I'm very glad Disney does everything for you :)

My condolences about your mother... I'm sure she was there with you in spirit :goodvibes

I can't wait to write my trip report, I wish I kept a planning diary. LOL, I should just summarize all of my posts on here, and paste them all together!! :rotfl: We couldn't go all out with enhancements, but I think we'll make up for it in careful planning... so we'll see!

You can still do a program...you can put your ceremony agenda, your reception agenda, a thank you to your parents or your guests, a special poem/quote, etc.

I am also making my own programs...it is a trifold program and on section 1 I have our picture, our names and the date/location. Section 2 I have our wedding ceremony agenda (I included songs that we are going to use). Section 3 is our reception agenda (including the food). Section 4 is a thank you to our guests, parents and a little "in memory of" my fiance's father and my cousin. Section 5 is a special quote. Section 6 is a listing of our attendants. Hope this helps a little!

Good luck! princess:

Thank you - Rev. Jack said a really nice remembrance prayer for my mom.

We didn't do a lot of extras either. Neither of us wanted to have a big bash and we didn't want it to be "too Disney" which sounds silly considering, but I wanted a Disney wedding and DH wanted a small wedding, so the Disney Intimate was the perfect option for us. If someone who wasn't familiar with the WL looked at our wedding pictures they wouldn't even know it was a Disney wedding. We brought in our own decorations and the only extras we had were the Mickey & Minnie chocolate favors, a rose for my mom, and extra floral for MOH (3-rose wand), my daddy, MIL and FIL, and we did get a custom cake (totally worth the $$), and a bottle of non-alcoholic cider.

I am so excited for you! I cannot wait to read all about it and see pictures - best wishes on your magical wedding day :goodvibes

Thanks!! I am getting more excited with every hour that passes!! We're not doing anything "too Disney" either, but I did incorporate the Disney theme in with our gift bags. We did a few decorations, but it's all stuff I can take with me. Oh, and I got little baggies of petals for the guests to throw at us.
We also did a custom cake.. Mickey's Delight.. and I CANT WAIT to eat it!!!

I really wish i was a craft person! I just dont have the time to make all of ours at the moment!

Sounds like a lovely idea including your ceremony format though!

Are there any restrictions of what (ie fresh or silk petals, handmade paper confetti) can be thrown? And where abouts (ie inside or outside the gates) at the Wedding Pavilion? I was thinking of using my large Mickey head and also castle punches on tissue paper or similar, but I won't waste my time if we won't be able to use it!

Hmm I have no idea! I'm getting them from Rosie at Disney Floral. They're fresh petals in sheer ivory bags. I don't know about limitations, but your idea sounds VERY cute!!

That sounds pretty - how far in advance do you have to order these?

Hmm.. I don't know ... I'd give them about a month's notice beforehand- but I don't think it's ever too early!!

I had a small intimate last October at the WP. I made my own programs, invites, save the dates and etc......

I would be happy to email you pics of these items. Just send pm me!

In the meantime, my program said:

**I basically took the title of our vow sections and used them in the program. My programs were the 2-sided skinny, tall ones. On the backside, I notified everyone that we were hosting a dinner reception. I included the menu and a quote at the bottom. The programs were on cardstock. The background paper was black and the actual program was a beautiful champagne gold paper that shimmered....very classy.

I also purchased all of my invitation paper from Target, around this time last year. Everything was about 80% off. I got each box of 25 for $4.00 when it was normally $24.99.
