So, I am filling out the planning session information sheet and it is asking for music selections for the ceremony. I know that I don’t have to have all the answers before we go for the PS but to be honest, that didn’t even cross my mind! I am hoping you can help me out and tell me what you used or planning to use for your ceremony so I can get some ideas. Thanks so much!!!

keep in mind that doesn't mean you have to have some different song for each thing there? we don't even have that many people!! we will have one song for the officiant/BM/groom/Family and one for bride/MOH. and recessional.

I agree with sambycat - I am using "A dream is a wish your heart makes" for Officiant, DF and Bridal Party (only Best Man/Maid of Honor). I figured if I chose too many different songs everyone would only hear a couple of bars of each -it would be like that old game show -Name That Tune :rotfl2:

Here is our selection - DF was really into helping to pick the music and we want it to raise a few smiles so it is pretty ecelectic. We also wanted to keep it pretty much Disney themed:

Grooms Entrance - The Imperial march (Darth Vaders theme from Star Wars - this is what DF really wanted :))

Groomsmen - Hakuna Matata (it fits DF's son's so well)

Maid of Honor/Bridesmaid - You'll be in my heart (my Sister and Niece - speaks to how much I love them)

Junior Bridemaids - A Whole New World (both bright, wonderful girls, our future)

Brides Entrance - Bridal Chorus (A little tradition)

Sand Ceremony - Circle of Life (Sand ceremony will include DF's sons so appropriate)

Recessional - was going to be When you Wish Upon a Star which is sweet but not very uplifting and doesn't speak to our sense of humor and the fun we have as a couple. DF and I were messing around with music at the weekend and we now want the theme from Indianna Jones as we go off to start our new adventure!

Thinking on it now it might have been nice to have a Indianna Jones inspired wedding, albeit subtly, incorprating the spirit of adventure, archaeology, and 1930's theme. :rolleyes1 To late now :rotfl:

Don't worry too much. You have until 2-3 weeks before the wedding to submit your CD of selections for approval and trust me, we waited until the last minute to decide! ;)

Our planner recommended 4-5 songs for the seating and one song each for grandparents, parents, groom/groomsmen/officiant, bridesmaids and bride.

Prelude/Seating:
Married Life - Disney/Pixar's Up
Enchanted Suite - Disney's Enchanted
Cast of Cooks - Disne/Pixar's Ratatouille
Up with Titles - Disney/Pixar's Up

Grandparents:
Define Dancing - Disney/Pixar's Wall-E

Moms:
La Vie en Rose - Disney/Pixar's Wall-E

Groom/Groomsmen/Officiant:
Life's Incredible Again - Disney/Pixar's The Incredibles

Bridesmaids:
PM's Love Theme - Love, Actually

Bride:
Finale - Rodger and Hammerstein's Cinderella

Recessional:
For Once in My Life - Stevie Wonder

Music for:
Prelude/Guest Seating: Disney Love Songs
Officiant/Groom/Groomsmen: Indiana Jones Theme- Indiana Jones
Bridesmaids: You've Got a Friend In Me- Toy Story
Bride: Beauty and the Beast- Beauty and the Beast
Recessional: Ever After- Enchanted
Guest Exit: More Disney Love Songs
HTH

We're doing the following:

Seating of guests: Anything Disney
Groom/Best Girl entrance: Whistle Stop from Robin Hood
MOH: You'll be in my heart
Bride: When you wish upon a star
Sand Ceremony: A whole new world
Exit: Zip a dee doo dah

Here's what we did:

Prelude/ Guest seating: Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room, Kiss the Girl, Under the Sea, Yo ho, A Pirate's Life for Me, A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes, Beauty and the Beast, Whistle While You Work, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, The Work Song (Cinderella) and Be Our Guest

Wedding processional (this was everyone who processed down the aisle): Fantasmic Overture

My entrance: When you Wish Upon a Star

Domo: When You Wish Upon a Star

Exit: Disney Medley (Main Street Electrical Parade, It's a Small World, etc).

Slightly OT...if you provide a CD with music, do the songs have to be edited down for time? Or does someone fade them out for you on the spot? :confused3 I hope that makes sense...
