Ceremony Music

does the wedding pavilion come with an organist or is that a separate charge?

I'm going back and looking at our BEO and this is what it looks like. Don't quote me on this but here is what I found:

(1) Audio Mixer, 4 Channel (NonTax) @ $45.00 per ech
(1) Powered Speaker Package (NonTax) @ $150.00 per ech
(1) Technician/Operator @ $80.00 per hr
(1) Wireless Microphone, Lavaliere (NonTax) @ $135.00 per ech

AV and Technical Services $410

This included the speakers, the person who operated them, and the wireless microphone was for our officiant. It doesn't look like as much as what other people have quoted.

Several brides have been able to bring their own sound systems - boomboxes, really - to play the music they want. Check out ForKeeps and HappyLaLaGirl's trip reports ...

For the poster who asked about Yacht Club Gazebo, our wedding planner told us if we wanted to play a CD (which we do, for our first dance), we'd have to bring out own. AND it would have to be battery-powered, because the electricity at any outside venue "isn't consistent." Basically, the outlets at the outdoor venues are all attached to other electricity and they can't guarantee that someone won't need to turn it off or something at an inopportune time.

I know the music won't be very loud, and it probably won't show up very well on our (home) video, but it's the moment that counts!

Thanks for the input...that will help a lot. Like we aren't dragging enough stuff down there already...now a boombox. I will let that be my DF's call. He is in charge of the music ! :cool1:

This is the reply I got from my EM when I told her I wanted my own CD:

Honestly that organ demo is just a sampling and was done soooo long ago. When you come for a planning session if the organist is here I will have him play fro you. Honestly it sound so nice in person. It has 250 computerized sounds. It can sound like electric light parade to dark vador, to just about anything. Trust me it's pretty neat.

Just thought you all would like to read it!

I agree. We used the organist and he is fantastic. Definitely give it a listen before you jump to using the CD.
