Does any one know if you can simply do a small ceremony and the illuminations dessert reception only?

I would want to have a reception here at home, but would love to have a small ceremony and of course the Illuminations dessert reception for about 10 people at Epcot.

I tried this out, and that was a no for me. (I was doing a Custom with about 40 or so people.) It would be a REALLY expensive dessert party. You are not going to be able to cut your costs there b/c you have to pay per person. If it is a small ceremony, have you thought about doing an intimate wedding?

Yeah--I would think you could do an intimate wedding and then add on the dessert party--they do them through general catering too

yes you can have a small ceremony & dessert reception only. the only issue for an intimate bride is not being able to wear your wedding dress unless you purchase transportation.

I did the small ceremony in the AM at the wedding pavillion. Ceremony was at 10am but my hair and makeup started at 4am (I was stupid and booked the castle shoot on the wedding day). After the ceremony we all went back to our hotel (all star Movie-which was a great choice for all of us) With the intimate package you get a cake. So we all met in the cafeteria place there and ordered pizza and ate the cake. Back to the room for some much needed R&R, then we all got re-dressed and headed to illuminations at Epcot and had horderves and drinks. It worked our perfect for all of us. It was all amazing.

What are the costs associated w/the Illuminations Parties?? Besides the food, what are the host/hostess costs, do we have to charter buses??? I am just curious how much something like this would cost for about 20 people?? We are intimate and I don't want to spend a TON of money on the reception, b/c we are having a huge reception back home. Any info on price breakdown or food costs would be greatly appreciated!!!

This is the estimate for 13 people that our EM sent for a Sample Dessert Party.
