Kellogg unveils new Disney cereal
Kellogg Co. is unveiling the latest addition to its line up of Disney cereals, Kellogg's Disney Chocolate Mud & Bugs.
The new cereal is inspired by Timon and Pumbaa, favorite characters from Disney's "The Lion King."
In Memphis Kellogg employs about 357 workers at its plant at 2168 Frisco, which produces Frosted Flakes and Special K cereals.
The new cereal is the latest introduction in the alliance between Kellogg and Disney that also includes Mickey's Magix and Hunny B's
"We're pleased to announce that you'll see a regular rotation of innovative Kellogg Disney cereals to keep up with consumer needs," says Kellogg USA vice president Graham Petersen.
Kellogg's Disney Chocolate Mud & Bugs cereal is available in 12 oz. boxes with a suggested retail price of $3.19.
Battle Creek, Mich.-based Kellogg is the world's leading producer of cereal and a leading producer of convenience foods. Its products include cookies, crackers, toaster pastries, cereal bars, frozen waffles, meat alternatives, pie crusts and ice cream cones.
