Just have a quick question about cereal- Do they have the single serve boxes/bowls in the food court? If so, about how much are they? Trying to budget for OOP meals. Thanks!!!!

They do have the single boxes. I belive they where 1.75 each. There price are high. If you can pack them I do that or if you have a car go to a store and get them for a 1.00 and buy a quart of milk if you are staying where you have a frig in your room.

We will not have a car. So my choices are either purchase at the food court, have them delivered or check a bag of food at the airport. Not sure which way to go. We are leaning toward having a delivery made. That way we can get some snacks and water delivered as well. Thanks!!!!!

You do have the option of sending a package of cereal and other snacks and mailing it ahead of time to your resort. Then you just have to my milk at the food court.

True. Never thought of that. But that could get $$$$ with shipping. Grocery delivery is $12, which isn't too bad.

Depends upon the cost of their food. Either way, it's cheaper than the food court.

A cereal cup is $1.20 from Garden Grocer. The local Giant has them for $1. So, the food is cheaper here, but shipping could add up. Maybe I'll buy some, throw them in a box and see what it costs to ship them. Wosrt case scenario, we have cereal cups here to eat because we decide not to ship them. I am sure either way is a cheaper option. We're at POR, so we'll have a fridge for milk which we will get from the food court. Thanks!!!!

Wouldn't a box or two with a couple of plastic bowls be cheaper than the individual ones? Throw some cereal bars, snacks, drink mix, etc, in the box and you'd be all set.

I packed individual portions for my DH and myself (we let the kids be on vacation and eat at the food court, sometimes they even just used a snack credit). I portioned the cereal out into baggies and brought a few paper bowls and then just purchased milk or used snack credit.

Maybe when you pack you can just lay the boxes on the bottom of a suitcase and pack a few plastic bowls.

Heck I even pack bananas! I use a sturdy shoe box put the bananas in a bag and back them. Sometimes maybe half a banana gets bruised but that is it.

Have fun!
