I know this may be a long shot, especially since I don't have a photo, but I've been trying to figure this out since we were at CC in March. While looking at the jellyfish in the little lagoon outside of cabana 15 (down by the new grand cabanas), there was a centipede/millipede looking creature walking along the ocean floor. The lifeguard had no clue what it was and I've not been able to find information in my myriad Google searches.

So I thought I'd put it out to the knowledgeable folks here on the board.

It was about 6-8" long and 1" wide
It had legs all down both sides of it's body - not furry legs, just legs
It was reddish brown and the legs were a lighter color - yellow/beige

Any ideas?

I found a picture of a bioluminescent millipede that is only found in California forests that resembles what we saw in the water.

Have you tried googling the bristleworm? It might be that...
=)

There are different types of sea cucumbers. A sea pig is smooth on top, but not quite like your picture.
