I pay $60 a month for 450 minutes and unlimited text. I would like to find a plan with less minutes (i use like a hundred) and unlimted text. Any ideas?

What cell company are you with now? And how many texts do you send a month on average?

Right now, my husband has a Virgin mobile pre-pay plan with a combined 1500 minutes and texts for $30. He doesn't use it much because he also has a company supplied cell phone for work calls.

my boyfreind can only text so alot, I would guess about a thousand or more
Im looking at cricket but I havent found any reviews for it

They also have an unlimited text/data plan for $35 a month. It includes 300 calling minutes.

The catch is you'll have to buy one of their phones. And you should check their coverage area and make sure you get good coverage where you are.

Never dealt with Cricket. Sorry.

at our local walmart we have Straight Talk. You get unlimited talking, text and web for $45 a month. Its a pre paid plan and runs off verizon network.

My daughter has a Kajeet phone which is $27.99 a month for unlimited texts and 300 minutes, but you have to buy one of their phones and they run off the Sprint network. Be sure to check coverage in your area. She's been with Kajeet for 3 years and we've never had a problem.

We also used to use Kajeet, which I think is a great phone for families. Now we have Virgin Mobile. My DD has a Blackberry with 300 minutes and unlimited text/data for $35.00 (my son has an Android at $25, but he was grandfathered in to the old rates). Their phones are more expensive (go on sale sometimes) but when you keep them over time, it becomes a real deal with such low monthly fees.

I think this is the one our exchange student has. Except she didn't think she needed the other things, so she just has a set number of minutes and unlimited texting. (She basically only uses it for texting unless she has to call us) I think it's $25/month.

Just read the details. I believe it said what readyfordis mentioned on the front of the package ($45/month), so you might think that's the plan you have to get but there were other options on the back.

if all you do is mostly text checkout Virgin Mobile's (Sprint) PAYG plans.
The one we have is $35 for 300min calls + unlimited(to a degree) data and text

My husband has a prepaid Virgin Mobile phone ($80) that he pays $38 a month for 300 talk minutes and unlimited data and text. I am wondering if everyone else posting the Virgin Mobile plan is including tax? It is a no contract phone, which is a nice option.

I use T-Moble's monthly pre-paid plan for $30 a month for unlimited text and data but only 100 minutes. I think they have all three unlimited for $50. I don't talk that much on mine so 100 minutes a month is more than enough!

DS15 has been on Kajeet for 2 years, we pay $19.99/month for unlimited text & 100 talk minutes. He does blow through the 100 talk minutes but then it's up to him if he wants to add more $$ to the account to talk, or just use text til the next month. He has gone through 3 phones but he's rough on them. Their phones are expensive but we've always been able to find discount codes online, or waited for a sale. We're switching to the Everything Messaging Sprint Family Plan but only because we can get 3 android phones for free, the more minutes we need, and the rate isn't too much more than Kajeet (a plan with more minutes) x 3 would be for us.
