Anyone have one. What would you recommend. I am so sick of 4 different cell chargers, and 4 Ipod chargers lying around everywhere!

We've thought about getting one but it's $100 then $40 for the packs you slide the phones into. So instead of a bunch of chargers you'd have the little pack thingies lying around.

what about one or two of those charging valets? Some of the larger ones have a powerstrip inside. You still have to deal with the charging lines but now they are hidden. Neighbor has one in her kitchen. I like the idea. When I went looking during the holidays, all I could find were the smaller ones (no powerstrip).

My hubby is fascinated by those also. They saw a demonstration at a race two years ago. When you add up all the different adapters, it's just not feasible for us. Some of the adapters are more expensive than others also. When we looked at christmas, I think for all his doodad's, it would run us about $250. Just for Dad's stuff, not the boys or even mine.

We use a couple of these. We still have four cables coming out of it, but it takes up only one outlet. We have cords for our iPhones and iPod Touches as well as for our Nintendo DSes. Despite the fact that the Kindle 2 can plug into it, it doesn't seem to charge the Kindle.

I heard them being discussed on the radio just before Cheistmas. The host who had seen them in stores thought they looked great, but he got a number of calls from people who had them and said they looked good, but had some major problems. The biggest was the need to have a separate adapter for each item you want to use with it. If you get a new cell phone, you probably will need to purchase a new adapter.
As another poster mentioned, those get expensive and instead of keeping track of different cords for each thing you want to charge, you have to keep track of all the very small adapters.
All the callers who had one said they would not recommend one to anyone.

We have some friends that installed a powerstrip inside a kitchen cabinet and use that to charge everything. It is out of sight so that is nice and they just have to plug in the phone or whatever and not hunt down the various chargers. They leave them plugged into the powerstrip and just turn off the strip as needed. Powerstrips are about $6 vs the $100+ for those charging pads.
