Clearly the person you were with did not want to spend time visiting with you. That you use the term friend, is odd. Friends don't treat friends like that.
Leaving her without a ride? Oh well... she had her cell and I'm sure she could call someone to come and pick her up.
I'd imagine you won't be having a breakfast or any other social contact with her from here on out, so I'd not worry about it.
Her behavior was rude, and sent a clear message. She didn't have time for you. Why would you have continued to waste your time on her?

At least that would keep their phone busy!

Otherwise it goes to vm and I return the call later. If I do answer I let whoever called know I'm having a meal with a friend and only have a minute, then I apologize to the friend. This is the same ettiquette my friends use when they get calls.
