Cell phone charge while at parks

I know my phone's charge won't last while we are at the parks--- What do you do to keep a charge? I like using the camera on my phone, and to be able to communicate with others in our group while in the parks--- I have a Motorola Droid, and wondering if I should get one of the travel quick charger things that you charge and then plug into your phone, or take a wall charger and search for an outlet??? I *KNOW* I'm not the only one who runs into this problem!

I have a small USB Flash portable charger for my phone that I absolutely love. It is teeny tiny so it doesn't take up a lot of space. It has a USB output and micro USB input. It works on my HTC Droid Incredible and my Ipad. From my understanding it is compatible with most smart phones/tablets. I would definitely do your research before purchasing one. Some of them can be quite pricey and you want to make sure it will work with your phone before you invest in one. Mine was only about $14 but I've seen some of the nicer ones go for $60 or more.

I found a Motorola P4000 Power Pack on Daily Steals for $29. It can recharge a phone maybe 2 to 4 times, and about the size of an Iphone.

I had the same concern, so for our last trip I bough a New Trent battery charger. It's 5000 AMH, and so far it will charge my iPhone from 7% or so to full charge around 3-4 times. It also can charge an iPad. I found it on Amazon for a decent deal. They had a few different brands and types, so I read the reviews and found some that I liked. There are lots of options with different price ranges if that's the direction you decide to go.

Second thought, MK now has outlets available where you can plug your phone in over by the Rapunzel bathrooms. Lift the little flaps on the stumps by the benches, and there they are. I don't know about the rest of the parks, but thought I'd share that one. :)

I have a portable charger from Anker that is about the size of a stick of lipstick. A bit taller. So it fits even in a small purse, or even just a pocket. You just need a very short cable to connect it to your phone. You can get bigger ones that will charge multiple phones a couple times, but I wanted small. I wear tight clothes and anything bigger wouldn't work.

I highly recommend the Mophie cases that charge. Nothing extra to take and the back up and phone charge together

There are outlets all over all the parks where you can sit in the cool air and charge your phone. I took a portable charger with me, but if I was sitting somewhere and I spotted an outlet, I would plug in. Hollywood Studios was the hardest park, but I found that the second floor of Pizza Planet had outlets by tables. They also have one outside in the area where some people park their strollers or scooters. Just use common sense and if need be, ask a CM if it is ok. Some really nice CMs even told me the location of outlets that I could use.

We also take Trent chargers, but one of our favorite charging stops is the Tune In Lounge at Hollywood Studios... Outlets available, cold grownup drinks (or milkshakes for the kids!) and best of all, for us, they take Tables in Wonderland!

Thanks, ya'll!~ I think I'll be getting a portable charger, and I'm sure with the 7/9 traveling, we'll have to have it and wall chargers too!

You won't regret it! I have a New Trent one and it's been a life saver!

I meant that the 7 out of 9 travelers will have smart phones... So we'll all have dead phones! OOPS! :lmao:
