DS9 and I were at DHS Saturday. We waited 85 minutes for Toy Story and just as we were entering the final section of the que, Tommy Hilfiger and his family were escorted in through the exit. Not only did he not wait and bumped the family about to get on, but the ride was held up while he did the "one more time" motion to the cm's as he and his party rode again and again. Must be nice. The woman behind me said that Usher had done the same thing the night before.

For security reasons it is probably realistic for celebrities to get special treatment. It would cause quite a commotion for them to stand in line with us regular people. It isn't like there are hundreds of them bumping the rest of us. I am more ticked about media types receiving special treatment.

yeah, get that. But it's not fair that he motioned to ride over and over. That's just selfish!

I think celebrities should wait on line like everyone else. If they must be escorted to the front for security reasons they shouldn't get to go around and around while everyone waits for over an hour.

But really, does Tommy Hilfiger even qualify as a celebrity? I didn't know they sold his clothes anymore.

I think they should have to stand in line or utilize FP like the rest of us. I can understand perhaps a political figure for safety concerns but Tommy Hilfiger? Bah! Unless maybe Calvin Klein is out to get him. :rotfl2:

Or make them stand behind in a special room for the amount of time that the sign says it should take to get through the line.

Making them use the fast pass is a great idea.

I wouldn't even recognize Tommy Hilfiger if I saw him.

I really don't know what the answer is, I mean I guess if they are somebody that is really recognizable, then they may have a problem. However, I am so sick of them getting special treatment, without us normal everyday people they wouldn't have a job. Maybe that is why so many of them are in trouble, too many yes people in their lives treating them like they are gods, when in fact, they aren't

unless i am mistaken, this is a service that the "celebrity" pays for. a friend of mine named david used a personal guide in the spring. i think he told me that his family's guide cost 90 dollars per hour. their guide had spent the day with shaquille o'neal and his family the day before.

in fact, i don't think you need to be any kind of celebrity to use this service, you just need deep pockets.

does anyone know something different than this?

i don't like the "go again" idea.

All the celebs who want and expect special treatmnet should put their money together and build thier own WDW.

I have no problem with them using guides and/or security for obvious reasons, but they shouldn't get special treatment that allows them to bypass everyone else, and then go again, that just makes me ill and I probably would have made my thought known to everyone had I witnessed that happening, sorry I just have a real problem with celebrities.

You are right in that anyone can hire a VIP tour guide at WDW. That, however, does not get your ordinary person front of the line privileges. The VIP guide will often run ahead of a family to get FPs or arrange for a table at a TS restaurant, but you must wait in line like everyone else. Only those folks that Disney thinks could cause some type of uproar or a security risk gets the true VIP service.

Sorry, but I think they should have to wait in line like the rest of us.

When you go to a public place, especially like WDW, that is a chance you take. You chose the famous life, you live it.

...do you actually listen to what your saying? Your asking people to be harrassed and saying "they chose to be famous" as grounds to justify it. That makes no sence at all. The guy who went on that ride most likely went on it 2ce for the whole day and was done with it. How is that a big deal? It is a matter of safety and common sence.

Wow! People seeing Usher and Tommy Hilfiger. I've never seen anyone famous at WDW. The closest I've come to spotting a celeb was the other weekend. We saw that redheaded kid that used to be on American Idol. (BTW, he certainly did not receive any VIP treatment.) Hehehehehehe!

Not all celebrities are alike, and not all feel like they should get front of the line privileges etc. I know a celebrity or two personally, I won't name names to protect the innocent (especially given the tone of the thread) but I can assure you I've personally seen them wait around like everyone else unless (and it has happened) a cast member or security agent insisted for OTHER guests safety (not being trampled etc) they be whisked to a special sideline.

I have no idea what he looks like either and I do think that is really selfish of him to sit on for another ride when there would have been so many people waiting.

most celebrites are raised with a sense of entitlment, they get the best table at clubs, shops close down for them, if they want your table at a restaurant you have to move etc...getting to the front of the line and riding a ride over and over while other people have to wait is really awful. all they are is glorified line cutters. :sad2:

I personally wouldn't know Tommy Hillfger if I trip over him, but even some well known celebrities would be hard to identify if they were literally next to you in a line.Without make up and with their families in tow, sunglasses and a ball cap, if you weren't looking out for them, you wouldn't know.
