FYI, on the 5/29 cruise, YES that *was* Jonathan Frakes from Star Trek: TNG.

I was inches away from even. I was even lounging next to him and his wife on deck 4 (before I realized it).

Perhaps he should have replaced that horrible woman in the Charles Marshall band...I know he has a better voice :)

rcostello, that was too funny!:hyper:

DH said to me one night, 'notice how that poor girl can't really sing, she's just speaking the words out loud.'

No, we're not trying to start any flames here, anyone. It's just our opinion of the lead singer girl in the Charles Marshall band.:D

oh wow! We are HUGE Star Trek fans - would've loved seeing Jonathan and Genie on a cruise :teeth:

Long time GH fan here - would have liked to seen Laura (oops, I mean Genie).

Well... I saw Mickey and his girlfriend on the cruise. Definitely an A list celebrity.

Thought I was going to have to punch that big, fat nose of his though. On the way back from Palo, my wife and I were strolling along the top deck, and Mickey came up my wife and kissed her hand. I tell you, those celebrities don't respect the sanctity of marriage these days.

Am I missing something? Is Jonathan Frakes married to Genie Francis? Or were they just sited on the same cruise?

We're a family of Trekkies, and I grew up during the Luke and Laura days on GH. . .

J:confused:

Yes, they are married & have been for some time.

Jonathan Frakes......Milli Vanilli........almost anyone would have been better than that girl. By the way......anyone else notice that the Charles Marshall band became Diana and the Marshal band by mid-week? What did Charles do??????? Get tired of her voice and jump ship?

Oh man I didn't know his wife was famous too. OOOOOH I spoke to a famous person! :) She either just smiled or said hello and I said hello back. I was sitting in the chair right next to her.

Anybody wanna touch me? How about my autograph? I'll sell 'em on ebay :p

We had relief pitcher (NYY and Mets)Mike Stanton and family on our cruise. Just before we set sail I headed to the front of the ship and my kids are going on and on about their new found friends. Turns out they were with Mike and that made my hubby a HUGE Yankee fan very happy. Spent some time with Mike and his new wife, but loved his Mom and Dad. They could talk baseball for hours, and we're happy to hear that we thought old George should not have let Mike go to the Mets.... It's funny how you really don't think of these people as being normal until you meet them in a "normal situation." Would have loved to meet Genie (Laura) I grew up with their wedding and life after.

5 years ago at the "soft opening " of AK, we saw Drew Carey. Hubby says look there's the guy from the Drew Carey show and Drew promptly answered I am Drew Carey and asked for introductions from us. The rest of the day each time we saw Drew he would yell Look there's Jeff from the I just found a new friend show. Very funny guy!:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

I get excited b/c I had opportunity to meet Mr. or Ms. X who has done YZ and not everyone gets to do that.

For example, I met Lisa Whelchel (ex-Blair from Facts of Life) a couple of weeks ago--she spoke at a conference that we attended and she was within arms reach prior to her speech.

Not everyone gets excited and that is okay.

Perhaps others see it as a cool thing to share with friends...oh I met so and so while I was in the Carribbean.

It is fun to meet (or just see before you) celebrities, since we generally spend time with them while on television and at that moment we get to see what they really look and act like.

I mean, how many people get to have Drew Carey pointing and yelling at them from across the park! hehehe

I enjoy how nice most are and how forgiving they are about others comign up and saying HI.

I got you all beat...

I peed next to Michael Chiklis ("The Commish", The Shield") in a Frontierland bathroom.

Now I'm jealous.....that has always been my dream! ;)

It was a special moment for me too...he's lucky I didn't suddenly turn to my right and ask him if he was Michael Chiklis. :earseek: :scared:

Six years ago I walked right past Michael Jackson at Disneyland. He was wearing a scarf around his face and was with a group of twenty young boys. My husband talked to Meg Ryan in the Tiki room waiting area. Her son was playing with my daughter near the tiki fountain (also at Disneyland.) Saw Michelle Kwan last year in Fantasy Land.
