Celebrity encounters??

Saw, met, spoke with, and received Terry Bowden's autograph about 5 years ago at the ESPN club.

I've seen Jon Bongiovi a few times at Modell's and Best Buy in Holmdel, NJ. I was also in line behind his wife at Marshalls (yes, I said Marshalls) a while back. I actually graduated a year ahead of him at SWMHS. Our Moms were friends too. :)

So, did you know Jon in high school? Does your mom know any fun gossip about Jon from being friends with his mom?! That's hillarious that his wife shops at Marshalls!!! :lmao: All the $$$$$ he makes and she shops at a discount store! Don't get me wrong...I'm not putting her down for that...I actually think it's very cool that they are so down to earth in their hometown. But, I just wonder, how in the world JON can go out in public and not be (for lack of a better word) mobbed by adoring fans!!!

I've never met any celebrities at WDW (yet) but I would love to meet Jon Bon Jovi.

When I was a teenager I met Scott Baio - got his autograph and a kiss. And in 1981 I saw the guy that played Alan Quartermaine (on General Hospital) at the LA airport. We were waiting for our flight and I looked up as he was walking across the airport and I sort of yelled "Alan!" and he smiled and waved.

Just last week my daughter was at a surf benefit at Malibu Inn in Malibu California and she saw Paris Hilton and Kat Von Dee (LA INK TV SHOW). My daughter said Paris was really nice posed for pictures with her and her friends. Talk to them for a while, she could not believe how little she is (height and weight). She was nothing like what the media makes her out to be. Go figure! She said Kat Von Dee was incredibility beautiful. And just yesterday we saw Amanda Bines(? spelling) at the Thousand Oaks Mall.
Small World huh

i work in a bank and about 15 years ago one of the womenn i supervised brought me 10 one hundred us dollar bills. she was an older (very older) teller and she said she was suspicious of the money, that the guy who was trying to exchange it looked like a criminal and she wanted my opionion before she told him no and sent him on his way. i looked over, there stood Dan Akroyd.:cool1: i told her to do the exchange and i'd explain later.:teacher:
later, after telling her who he was, she still did not get it. she'd never heard of him or seen any of his stuff.:lmao:

I was with a friend at the Adventurer's Club at PI in 2000 and we both suddenly realized everyone was staring at us. We were on the ground floor in the room where there were several floors above us looking over railings and everyone was pointing and staring at us. We didn't know what the Adventurer's Club was about so we thought maybe we were doing something wrong. Then I turned and looked next to me, and realized I was standing directly next to Drew Carey and Ryan Reynolds!!! It turns out the crowd was actually staring at them, so we were really relieved :D

Another day in the parks we saw Kelly Ripa with her husband and children. I was a huge All My Children fan so that was really exciting to me but my husband was annoyed I was staring at them. He said I should give them privacy to enjoy Epcot! My gramma was with us and she thought that my dh got mad because he was jealous that I was staring at Kelly Ripa's attractive husband!! hehehe :D

My good friend just ran into Melissa Joan Hart (you know, the girl from Sabrina, the Teenage Witch) outside of the Winnie the Pooh ride at MK. She had just gotten off the ride and was putting her child in their stroller trying to be very discreet. She had a hat on and obviously wanted to just be with her family so my friend didn't stare and left them alone. She thought they looked cute. I think this was in May.

:hippie: we just met Sen. John McCain in the airport on our way home from Washington, DC. he was very nice to us and took pictures and gave us his autograph , and even talked to dd13's best friend on her cell phone, he told her dd13 had caused some trouble and he was there with the tsa to escort her out of the airport....:rotfl2: :wizard:

March 2007 Spring Break we ran into Tracy Hutson from Extreme Make Over Home Edition at the bus stop in Wilderness Lodge Camp Ground. A couple of days later on the same trip we saw Corey Feldman and his family at Blizzard Beach waterpark. Two years before that on Spring Break I literally ran into John Schneider (Bo Duke) at MGM as I was coming back from the restroom he was like sorry about that and I apologized to him for not watching where I was going. pirate:

I met Harrison Ford when I was in 6th grade. It had to have been 1990 or so cause I was still in middle school. They were filming presumed innocent in my town here in NJ. They were filming at our middle school and there was a raffle to be an extra in the school scenes.

I also recently met Diana DeGarmo (the American Idol fans will know who she is) Sweetest person around. My first pic didn't come out and then we re took it.

For anyone who is a soap opera fan I met Tony Geary 2 times now. He plays Luke on GH.

And in 1981 I saw the guy that played Alan Quartermaine (on General Hospital) at the LA airport. We were waiting for our flight and I looked up as he was walking across the airport and I sort of yelled "Alan!" and he smiled and waved.

Stuart Damon :)

Stuart Damon :)

Yep that was him! Thanks (I drew a blank at his name).

I forgot to add that back in 1985 a bunch of soap stars were in DC (on the Mall). I don't remember why, but I was touring DC with my cousin who was visiting and we saw a mob of people so we decided to go check it out. We managed to push ourselves up to the front and right in front of me walks Susan Lucia (aka Erika Kane herself). I was in shock! She shook my hand, threw a kiss to the crowd and got on a bus (along with some other soap stars). I just remember thinking...wow Erika is the same height I am! :)

Can't wait for SSW (only 59 more days till we get to Disney!!) :yay:

ive met david prowse (darth vader) amongst others. hes the one that sticks out in my mind though.

2 celebrity sightings at WDW. The first was Steven Tyler in the lobby of AKL. He took a picture with DS28. The second was Jim Caveizel. He was there doing the Candelight Processional reading which we saw and loved. The very next night, we had priority seating for Wishes fireworks viewing and he and his family were seated right next to us!

I met Robin Williams last night in NYC. He was very nice, joking with the crowd and taking pics with everyone.

We just met the Jonas Brothers in August at the Indiana State Fair and Drew Seeley on Saturday at the Indiana Zoo. They were very nice. I have a special needs daughter and they took time to talk to her. :thumbsup2

I saw the guy that plays Sonny on General Hospital in line at EPCOT - Many years ago.

Oh my God!! I would love to see Sonny up close and personal!! I have been watching GH for about 20 years now and I think Sonny's dimples are so cute. I even named my dog Jasper Jax (Jax for short of course!). I must sound like such a geek right now but now that DVR's are here, I do not miss one single episode!!

Okay now to answer the original question about celebrity sightings. The first one I'll mention is John Ritter at Epcot going on the Norweigan Viking Ship. I was really young, but it was still quite a few years after Three's Co. I thought it was really wierd how he had so many body guards around him considering he was NOT in the limelight at all at this point. After he realized my family knew he was (but noone else really did) he acted really weird and the bodyguards ushered him out. I thought that was bizarre b/c at this point it was way before his most recent (and last before his untimely death)hit.
My best all time favorite celebrity sighting was Leonardo DiCaprio at Six Flags - Valencia. (he was not looking as hot as normal at the time, and he was with Giselle Bundchen - now Tom Brady's GF).

Haha wow, Michael Jackson! was he mostly indoors or with an umbrella? I bet security was unbelievable.
I saw and met MJ in 99 in front of the liberty bell in Frontierland, he was walking towards Splash Mountain. Security was 4 Disney and 2 bodyguards. I walked right up to him and shook his hand. People were getting autographs, but nobody was really losing control, which I was shocked about. He did have an umbrella bearer with him. He was wearing white t, black loose pants almost like pj's and silk slippers. I then saw him again later in Small World.

First real new years eve party at Pleasure Island I saw more then 50 celebs. Tom Cruise, Cindy Crawford, Corey Feldman and a boat load of others.

I was waiting in line at the check in counter for our Princess breakfast in Norway last St Pattys Day,and this small child in front of us kept "petting " my 4 year olds satiny Cinderella costume, OVER AND OVER, altho the Mom was desperately trying to stop it, she kept saying she was very sorry and both my 4 yr old and I had no prob with it at all and I said, no worries......and looked up at her and it was ....Molly Ringwald,..... I said Molly? (like I knew her:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: ) and she put her finger to her lips and they were ushered into the restaurant, but they TOTALLY waited in line, which I thought was very cool. I told my friend who was in the bathroom at the time and she said "yeah right? untill I discreetly pointed her table out and then discreetly "accidentally" videod her while the princess was visiting our table. (I was discreet and respectfull:3dglasses I swear!) She had a ponytail and huge glasses but looked great. My friend was my college roomie and we were 80s girls and huge Molly movie buffs so we recited lines from her movies all week long! What a blast!:yay:

Growing up I was such a "Star Trek" fanatic.:happytv: Even as I had my kids they all knew what a "trekkie" I could have been. Well, one day we were at the MGM
Studios and we were going into a gift shop. I froze in my tracks and couldn't speak..... Standing there in front of me looking at "Star Trek" t-shirts was
James Doohan, "Scotty". He talked to us for a brief moment and then had to rush off. My kids love reminding me of how I walked around for hours with this glazed look on my face and the biggest smile. It was really special, even though it was short.:yay:
