So, I just got back from a disney Cruise, which was amazing, and I was sitting in the hot tub and this guy gets in and starts singing to himself.. I thought it was funny. But after a while I started thinkg to myself why he looked so familiar. After about 10 minutes I realized it was Andrea Bocelli! In a hot tub! on a disney cruise! haha.. I called my buddy over at UMVD and he said that he was taking some time before hitting the road to promote his new album comming out the 31st. Anyways.. thats my celebrity story.. Has anybody had a celebrity experience?

Not personally, but my Mom saw Michael Jackson with McCauly Culkin! Thats about as weird as it gets.

My first job out of college was at a nyc talent agency. I had A LOT of celebrity encounters. Dennis Quaid was one of the nicest men I have ever met, he always had a kind word. Kathleen Turner was the most horrible person, she was mean and insecure and went out of her way to make people feel bad. I find it interesting that Dennis Quaid is still a big star and Kathleen is not. What goes around...comes around.

Haha wow, Michael Jackson! was he mostly indoors or with an umbrella? I bet security was unbelievable.

I volunteered for a golf tournament that my company was co-hosting. I was at the 9th hole and would take money for a drive contest. The name of the event was the Dante Bichette/Jim Leyland tournament. (both of these guys are/were big baseball guys). Anyway, I'm not big on baseball players, football is my game...on with the story.

As I was standing there this guy walked up to me and looked WAY familiar but I couldn't place him. I told him "I know you, but I don't know your name". He said "I'm John Ashton" which didn't mean anything to me. Then he said "I'm no big famous baseball star or anything" I said "no biggie, I don't like baseball anyway" Then he smiled, and I knew who he was I screamed "Beverly Hills Cop...you're the Taggart on Beverly Hills cop!" He shyly nodded his head and tried elegantly to escape the rather embarassing situation I had put him in. He then turned around to me and said "you smoke cigars?" I said.."uh NO...I'm a girl!" He then, since we were backed up at the hole, showed me how to smoke a cigar. I didn't like it, but we had a nice 5-10 minute conversation in the golf cart while waiting for his turn.

The really funny part is that while we were talking he pointed over my shoulder and said "You've got customers" (which meant to go get the donations which was the purpose of me being there). I walked over to a group of 2 guys, both of whom were trying to beat the other to pay for the entire group. After a bunch of "I'll buy, no I'll buy, no let me" the older of the 2 guys said "take my money and mark us all down". As I took the money and was writing their names on my list, I asked, without looking up, and who should I mark down. Half laughingly he said "I'm Jim Leyland and this is Dante Bichette" I just about died!! Talk about a moron!

Anyway, John Ashton laughed for about 10 minutes then drove me in his golf cart to the club house because it started raining. What a great person and a great day!!

i saw jay leno once at a stoplight - las virgenes and mulholland drive in malibu
he was driving some electric blue roadster with the top down.
i never realized just how big his head was...

Hi,
I was on the Magic's cruise through the Panama Canal this summer. Joey Fatone, from In Sync was on the ship most of the cruise. Saw him playing bingo, at the pool, the art auction. My niece got his autograph, he seems like a nice guy. But, I got on an elevator and who was there? Roy Disney ! I saw him a few other times and started a conversation. He is a real regular guy. Just wears t shirts and shorts like everybody else. Can' wait till my next cruise. Isn't it the best !

I ate breakfast at the table next to Al Roker and his family in the Beach Club concierge lounge. That was my only Disney celebrity siting.

I used to work at GMR at the Disney MGM- studios around 94-97 while I was in school. Back then they had the Star of the Day Parade, and cast members would have to walk around the car as it drove down the parade route. Before the parade started we would wait in a holding area. Anyway, we had a lot of people come and go. Most were just TV show famous, like some of the cast from the Urkel show, etc. Worst, rudest star? Chevy Chase. He was a real jerk. Treated everyone like it was a waste of his time and we were beneath him. Nicest, most gracious? David Cassidy. He was so kind and generous, grateful to be there. Definitely left an impression on me. His family was there with him that day, and he was so excited for his little girl to meet Mickey Mouse. Just like any dad!

This is more of a close encounter then an actual meet. We did the KTTK tour back in October. Our Guide, Rae, explained the the Casmembers with the red plaid vests were personal/VIP escorts So we're walking along and see one of the VIP escorts. The three of us look to see if we recognize who they are with. My Mom and I knew right off the bat it was Sarah Jessica Parker pushing a stroller. No one else seemed to notice her. Kewl!

Last year on our regular ladies only trip my sister and I had just gotten off of Rock n Roller Coaster and as we were passing the bathroom I looked up and walking straight toward me was John Stamos. He was walking with a guy in the red plaid Disney vest and he had a couple of friends with him. He was very nice there weren't very many people there and he was going to let us take a picture with him but my camera battery had died. He gave us each a hug and an autograph though. My mom, other sister and aunt were waiting for us by Tower of Tower and couldn't believe we had gotten so lucky.

My sister had dinner with Robin Williams last year during the week before SuperBowl. She said he was really nice and a lot of fun to be around.

Barry Bonds and I had a great conversation about pin trading in MK... but I didn't know who he was... then he rolled down Main Street a little while later as the Grand Marshal of the parade - LOL A couple of months later, I ran into him again at AK character breakfast and we chat again.

At Grand Floridian I saw Markie Post -- Many years ago.

I saw the guy that plays Sonny on General Hospital in line at EPCOT - Many years ago.

I saw Michael Jackson at EPCOT.

I aldso did a GMR show as the bandit girl for John Stamos and Rebecca Romijn back when they were dating. They sat in the very back row with the "plaid people."

At California Adventure I saw the guy who plays Robert on Everybody Loves Raymond. I wouldn't have even noticed because I was looking down but I heard he voice and my head jerked up. You can't mistake that voice! He was with his family at the TOT ride.

We stayed at BC in Dec 2003 ...went down to breakfast one morning, but Cape May was too busy, so we walked over to YC. They were almost empty. We sat down for breakfast with my 10 month old throwing Froot Loops all over the floor  A group of about 10 people were seated at a table near us. My mom noticed the man in the center of the table was Edward James Olmos. Apparently, he had done the Candlelight Processional reading the night before!

I met Jerry Seinfeld at a movie theatre once. I called "Mr. Seinfeld" and he came over and talked to me and my friends. I even snaged an autograph for DH!

Well in Chicago, I've seen tons of people...Sara Jessica, Jennifer, Vince Vaughn, it seems someone's always around there.

In Disney though, one night we dined next to "Bernard" from the Santa Clause Movie. Sorry I don't know his real name. And we also saw Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luther) from Smallville. The only way I recognized him was by his bald head, which was very bald at the time. Last time my sister went, she saw Regis and Kelly in the lobby of her hotel. It seems like you can always spot someone famous if you keep an eye out. :thumbsup2

Just curious what hotel regis and kelly stay in?? Must be the grand since they have talked about it on the show...

This really probably doesn't count much but I was on the Disney Cruise with the According to Jim staff when they filmed the show. No one knew ahead of time about the filming. Without trying we were bumping into all the stars, all the time! The two girls were everywhere, in the elevator with us several times and also the sister on the show, seemed she was always on an elevator. Jim himself was running most days and would jog by us on deck 4. You could also watch all the filming. My husband and parents were with Jim a night they did karoke, guess he was real down to earth. I was in the room sleeping with my son!

Besides that never really encountered a star at disney, minus if they were filming the christmas parade.

And I LOVE Dennis Quaid! I never even knew how much I loved him until my husband pointed out that my two favorite movies (The Parent Trap and The Rookie) he was the star in. Then I really started looking at him, he is just AWESOME!
