Just wanted to pass on a little info we discovered in case it helps anyone out:

Drove in this week and needed to pick up our APs at the ticket booth. We saw on a map that Celebrity Circle puts you very close to the front of US - I wasn't sure what sort of access the road had, but we gave it a try. It was not exactly easy to find (GPS got us pretty close, but the street is marked "hotel delivery and services" or something like that). We drove to the end and DH dropped me off and waited.

It's a very short walk up to the ticket booth. At the end of the path, there is a security guard and he checked my bag and I had to "sign in" on a log and note why I was there. Sort of strange, but I noticed that there were about 25 other people signed in and ALL of them said "ticket pick up". So obviously, Universal knows people are using the road for this purpose and there doesn't seem to be an issue with it. :confused3

The ticket line was pretty long and I did have to wait about 30 min. DH said security did come by and nicely asked him to move along and just come back in a few minutes, which he did.

Anyway, I don't know if this is useful to anyone or not, but just thought I'd share. It worked out really well for us and I was a little surprised at how easy it was.

This road is used mainly for deliveries, access for special guests and park employees. If you leave your car anywhere along that road for any amount of time, you will be ticketed and/or towed. I would not recommend using this road at all for that reason. Good thing you didn't have any issues but I would not suggest it.

I also would not recommend leaving your car there for any amount of time (there was a tow-away sign), but there seemed to be no problem with dropping someone off and circling back around to pick them up. I understand they do not want unattended cars there, but the security guard who my husband talked to and security by the path were obviously aware people use it as a drop off for ticket pick up and did not have an issue with it.

Anyway, just thought I'd share my experience.
