Celebrity Apprentice

I'll say it......Clay's team won by a mile, as far as I'm concerned. There is a reason men's' cologne often features a beautiful woman, preferably sprawled all over a man. IT SELLS!!!! As far as "You Earned It" vs. "Trust Your Instincts".......I think You Earned It (Success) is head and shoulders above the other.

To point out that it sounds pompous when Donald Trump's photo is the illustration of "pompous" in the dictionary was rich indeed. :rotfl2: And really, I don't think the slogan is pompous. It reminds me of Loreal's "I'm Worth It" campaign. Penn was right. Successful people DO tend to believe they had earned that success.

If they had brought in 100 men to judge the respective ads, I think 95 would have gone for Clay's team's.

I would have to agree, I liked Clay's display A LOT better!

I thought both slogans were great...and editing may have played a role in the Arsenio/Aubrey discussion of their slogan.

I thought George was right about it looking like a Rolls Royce grill.

I think Aubrey won because of the takeaways.

I like Penn's slogan, success is EARNED, Trump should have appreciated that, as well as FEMALE excutives. Didnt they earn their sucees!

Penn got screwed.

keep in mind, one of those children is named after Trumps arm candy...:rolleyes1;)

and before anyone flames me for how wonderful Melania is, this is in fun!

Is one still considered arm candy after getting married? I thought getting married to Trump, umm, err, legitimizes <cough> their relationship and puts her in a different category now. ;)

And when he divorces this one, she will get at least, the amount of their pre-nup. He will wish he left her at the level of fluffy eye candy status. :p

First off, I'm glad Clay is still in it, I was worried he was going to get the boot. The one question/thought that keeps running through my mind is this: Why in the HECK was everyone praising Dayana for her role in this task? They kept saying she was fantastic/she killed it. All she did was a pose for a sexy photo! She gets all this praise because she's beautiful and takes a good picture, so what? :confused3

Aubrey really needs to go. Way to knock down your teammates even after you won the task.

Anyone else get the feeling that Dayana wins next week as PM? The previews make it seem like she was doing terrible and it will be a blowout loss but I'm betting the opposite.

Also, that would make her 2-1 as PM and she should pretty much tell Lisa, Aubrey, and Clay to kindly ****.

Yes...ITA. Dayana is smart, classy and tough. I want her to win.. Too bad, it won't be against Aubrey.

Okay she went from arm candy to TROPHY WIFE, to future ex of the Donald.

What WHAT? I'm just sayin....:rolleyes1

I guess nobody else thought that the slogan "trust your instinct" sounds like the word "stink" which would really be a poor choice for a cologne...

Clay did - wrote about it in his CA blog. Another reason I'm pretty sure he's sticking around for a while.

1) It was for a cologne ad. Sex sells cologne and Dayana oozes sexiness.

2) She also told Clay to make the takeaway and Clay shot her down.

So yes, Dayana was deserving of very high praise and I don't care how late in the game it was that Dayana suggested that. Like Trump said, "So what. You go get it done."

Yep. While there are no absolutes, I'm guessing the market Macy's would target is going to prefer to scope out Dayana's image over Don Jr.'s profile. Even Clay speaking from a gay POV agrees that she is stunning and knew to take full advantage of having that ace in the hole for their task. If they hadn't used Dayana, you can bet Trump would have pointed out that they have a beauty queen/model at their disposal and they didn't use her.

Don't both teams have only so many hours in the day to get things done, to be fair to both groups? Like they have to finish at midnight of that day. Otherwise, the team that has someone stay up at FedEx/Kinkos overnight could put on the best presentation, versus the team where everyone packed it in at 1am.

I know on Project Runway, everyone has to finish that day at like 11pm. No staying to pull an overniter, no matter how behind the outfit is. Also, no bringing stuff home to finish overnite.

So, technically if she came up with the idea at 10pm, and they only had an hour to find a Kinkos, take a cab over, compile a composite with pics & wording & graphics and the right fonts, etc., once they got to Kinkos, they'd have 20 minutes. And Clay couldn't leave it all up to Dayana, as her English isn't as sharp. If she missed a bunch of typos or grammar usage, the team would have been shot down for an amateurish brochure. So someone else would have to go with Dayana.

[Edited ->] Clay, who admitted he wasn't good visually, was depending on Lisa, sitting next to him to help him out on the rest of the stuff.

you lost me with Theresa...:confused3 she's on Aubrey/Arsenios team. As far as a deadline, maybe as both teams were at the same building at the same time constructing their backdrops (remember Lisa peeking?)but on other tasks/seasons I remember some team members being up all night to finsh stuff and being ticked if another team member left to get sleep. Honestly, I think if they can get the task done before the deadline, they probably can work it out however they want. I would have given it a shot..I mean, Dayana has the language barrier of sorts, but I think she is capable of submitting/eplaining an order to a printegraphic artist. ESPECIALLY if it something that Clay approved beforehand.

Whoops! I meant Lisa, not Theresa.

You can't just call up a printer and say, "Print up a brochure." Someone actually has to choose a template, come up with the proper wording, choose which pics and where they go, get the logo in key places, etc. That can be half a day to a full day, if they already have pics to choose from ahead of time.

What should have happened was Lisa could have volunteered to over see all of that. Clay probably would have felt more confidence in her abilities to pull it off. But she didn't and he seemed to have wanted her next to him while he was still making whatever decisions on what was left for them to do.

I thought Aubrey's display was a mess. What WAS that??? It looked nothing like a skyline and more like a grade school project where they had cut out & painted refigerator boxes. Can you imagine seeing that hot mess in Macy's?? I think if the two Macy's executives had been men, we would may have had a different outcome.

Dayana is stunning, no wonder she is Miss Universe!

And maybe soon to be the next Mrs. Donald Trump?

Isn't it about time Trump trades in wives for a younger, newer version of the one he has?

Marla looked like Ivana. . . Dayana looks like Melania. . . :rolleyes1

It has been a busy week, so i just got to watch Monday's Red Eye where Penn was on the panel. They gave him a whole block to talk about him time on the show. Pretty interesting stuff.
The best thing though, was after he was fired, he got a phone call from Caesars, who own the Rio, so basically his real boss. He was asked some questions about his charity, and how much Trump would have given his charity had he won. Caesars wrote a check for $250,000 for Opportunity Village (Penn's charity) themselves.
:worship:

He also said that Diana really is that beautiful, and Lou really is a bully.

What show is this Red Eye? I'd love to watch it and see his take on Clay, since the show has made it out to be that the two of them did not get along.

It is a show on Fox News at Midnight pacific, 3 am Eastern time.
Penn is on every few months and i love love LOVE when he is a guest, because they might as well not invite other guests- he is a very smart guy.
One of my other favorite guests is Jesse Joyce, he is comedian that writes for the Roasts, and he is very anti-Trump.
Anyway, if you check Red Eye's website or facebook they will usually tell you who the guests are ahead of time. Or I'll most likely post if Penn is on again while Celebrity Apprentice is still on.
