Celebrations at the Poly

For our anniversary, I was thinking of ordering Strawberry Turndown ( six delicious chocolate covered or tuxedo (dark and white chocolate) covered strawberries with a chocolate centerpiece filled with candies) or Romance Turndown ( wrapped white chocolate Mickey and Minnie bride and goom and assorted truffles.) Has anyone gotten either of these items?

I haven't done it, sorry, but would love to find out more about it. Is it available at all deluxe resorts, or just the Poly??? Since its your anniversary, I"d pick the bride and groom with the truffles! YUMMM!!!!!

We didn't do either but did let concierge know that we were celebrating our 1st anniversary. We had balloons, chocolate and autographed pictures in our room when we got back after our first day in the park.

I went to http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menus.htm#res and looked at the in-room dining for the Polynesian. They had a listing for Celebrations. I would suggest looking and seeing what your hotel offers.

Jody, those are new additions to the Polynesian room service menu. I haven't seen a report about either one yet. But scanne, another DISser is going soon and planning to order one of them...I admit I forget which. Watch for her report.

At the Polynesian we ordered the 12 chocolate covered strawberries. They required 24 hours advanced notice.

My wife loved them. On top of that, they were delivered EXACTLY at the time I requested. I tipped big for that, they were perfect and I scored MAJOR point with the missus for that...
