We won a week here from Skyauction. I've been reading the threads and have seen the bad reviews from people over on Trip Advisor. I take negative comments with a grain of salt.

Thank goodness I did! This place was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! We won a 2 bedroom condo for $251 total. There were only 3 of us travelling and we had MORE than enough room. DD (she's 13) liked having her own "apartment" as she referred to it. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. It was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They had tons of actiivities for the adults and families.

Thanks for the post. I am so glad it was ok! I really enjoyed our stay in 2001, but I was also curious about all the negative posts! Thanks!

Thank you for posting, Pooh Girl! We hear so much on this board about resorts like Vistana and Cypress Pointe...but many other resorts come up more frequently on Skyauction. Our family isn't really picky or demanding, and I wonder how many of those "other" resorts, like Celebration World, would suit us just fine. Glad you had such a great stay! :D

for what it's worth, I thought Celebration World Resort was higher quality than Cypress pointe!

Thanks for your opinion, Melynny! We actually have an opportunity (unexpected trip!) to stay at CPGV in a couple weeks, so I hope it's a good place.

For the great prices you can get on Skyauction or AFVC (for armed forces) any of the resorts listed are probably a good value. Of course, everyone would like to have the nicest possible resort available, but IMHO a 2-bdrm that's clean, comfortable, safe, with friendly employees, etc. is an amazing deal at $36 per night!

an amazing deal at $36 per night!

You bet it is! I don't think you can pitch a tent at Fort Wilderness for that price.

for what it's worth, I thought Cypress Pointe was higher quality than Celebration World Resort!:teeth:

this is what you are talking about right????

I am very interested - it is one of the few pet friendly timeshares in Orlando/Kissimmee/LBV.

thanks for your view!!!

I hope to trade into next year!~

oh boy forgot to post the link

Thats the one I am talking about...

And, Johnnyoldboy, Have you stayed at CP since they have remodled? I may have to change my opinion based on the photographs! It looks pretty good!

:) Hi. Glad Pooh girl experience better than ours. Stayed in 2002. While unit itself is large and nice, resort rates poor because only 1 pool, no umbrellas, few chairs. almost no activities, garbage left in walk way after cleaning of near by rooms for 2 days (i finally took to dumpster myself). Needed info one day so asked at "Customer Service desk??). Only person in lobby at it and could not understand English and spoke little. Having stayed at Orange Lake, Liki Tiki, Orbit One, Westgate, Vistana, Cypress Pointe--Cebebration overall ranks poorly and would not stay again.

I must state if you spend little or no time other than to sleep at the resort and are always away at Parks etc. the units themselves are quite large and very nice. The other amenities etc. leave a very lot to be desired. This is why you get a wide range of opinions on sites such as this for different resorts. It is your specific use and wants that make it bad, fair or good.

At price you can get for it is a great motel but a poor resort.
