Celebration Town Tavern is awesome

Hi everyone,

I just want to give some feeback on a restaurant that Kevin and John have spoken very highly of in the past: The Celebration Town Tavern.

This place was awesome. Great food, great service, and very affordable. The Tavern is beautifully themed (old New England architecture and design) yet laid back and casual. We sat at a "swinging" table in their covered outdoor section - you can gently swing the table back and forth as you sit there (the kids LOVED it). Although my wife, Hope (pictured in our AV) and I had to temper that after a little bit.

We didn't order any appetizers (although I REALLY wanted the New England Clam Cowdah), and went right to the entrees. My wife ordered a black bean burger, potato salad and baked beans - rave reviews from her. I ordered the blackened mahi sandwich, potato salad and baked beans - rave reviews from me too. The portion sizes were substantial and the mahi was delicious.

The kids (one 6 and one 9) both ordered tuna salad sandwiches - and they were HUGE! The tuna was served in a hot dog bun and was PILED high. The kids loved it. Served with fries which they apparently liked as well.

My wife and I only ordered water and the kids had lemonade. The total bill was about $28 - less than our average night out at a place like Chili's - and much less than many of the Disney on-property restaurants.

Thanks to Kevin & Co. for recommending the Town Tavern! We're definitely going back.

We just walked on in and they sat us almost immediately - this was about 6pm last Sunday.

Beautiful location too - right there on Downtown Celebration, across the street from the boardwalk area and lake.

Also wanted to mention that they have a huge menu - and diverse. Inexpensive to expensive, healthy to not-so-healthy. I tried to stay at least a little on the healthy side by choosing the blackened mahi - although I couldn't resist that potato salad.

Tons to choose from - I had a very difficult time narrowing it down.

Clam chowdah was pretty darn good...and this coming from a Plymouth gal.

We totally agree! Tried it on a Thursday night during our November trip and LOVED it! DH kept begging to go back for more clam chowder. It was nice trying something different and seeing Celebration. We will be back! Thanks Kevin and John for the great tip!

We love this restaurant. When we have guests visiting we take them there. I love their fish sandwich, potato salad, baked beans. Our friends have said everything they ate was great.
