Hi!

My DH, MIL, SIL and I are heading to WDW Nov 29 - Dec 6. ::yes::

We are staying at OKW Nov 29 - Dec 1 in a 2 bedroom unit. But, we are looking for a place to stay on Friday and Saturday night. We need to keep the cost around $150 per night.

I have ressies at the Celebration Hotel, but I sure haven't seen too many reports here on the DIS about it. The property looks quiet and lovely, and you have to love the pillow-top beds. But I'm a little concerned since there are so few postings about Celebration.

I already checked the Swan & Dolphin, and per their reservations dept, they are booked at both properties for Friday and Saturday. We need high-speed internet access too, so that pretty much narrows down our on-site stay choice to CS.

Any thoughts? Should I just not worry, and see what comes up for codes in the fall? Is there another off-site property you would suggest for traveling without kids? We'll have a car, but we don't want to be too far away from Disney, since we plan on taking some rest breaks.

Thanks!

Try something new! Celebration will be going up in price soon. It is a lovely, quiet place. They have places to eat, a movie theatre. A great place to spend the weekend relaxing.
Go and enjoy!!

Lisa,The Celebration Hotel gets rave reviews on trip advisor.com
We went to Celebration a couple of weeks ago and the hotel is very nice.We did not stay there but I was so impressed with the location and the hotel itself, I looked it up online when I got home to see how much the rates were for our next trip. It's on the water too. I think you will really enjoy the hotel if you decide to stay there...

I haven't stayed at the Celebration Hotel, but I've walked through it and around Celebration several times. I definitely think you should give this a try as an all adult group. Hotel looks absolutely lovely and walking around the town and lake (that the hotel sits on) is beautiful. There's also one of those interactive fountains for kids or pets to play in. I've eaten at several of the Celebration restaurants (all a short walk from the hotel) and enjoyed them all (Celebration Town Tavern, Market Street Cafe and Cafe D'Antonio). Also found the dining prices to be comparable to what I'd spend locally (in DC) for the same prices rather than the typical inflated Disney prices. If you don't end up staying here, I'd highly recommend a dinner outing to Celebration so you can scope it for a future trip.

Thank you all for the encouragement!

I'm feeling much better about our ressies for the Celebration Hotel. We really wanted to stay at the Swan, as we have always enjoyed our stays at other felt like this might be a good choice when I read about it on-line, and your encouragement has really helped. I bet will will enjoy staying at a smaller place.

I'll be sure to file a trip report when we return.

Wow! We're getting really excited!!! I sure hope the next 5 months go by quickly!

Definately the celebration hotel over CS...CS, while the internet access is very fast..lol. The resort is obnoxious for getting around.
